Family rooms for families of 5. Good AC. Super close to the ferry- no need for a taxi even with a lot of luggage. Easy check in. Roof deck was huge and pretty- great little escape.
WiFi didn’t work at all until we were given another WiFi address.

Window to the main road, so it's noisy. The hotel staff come only day daytime, so you need to inform them before arrival when you come. No good hot water.

The location is unbeatable, and Mr. Schubert is an exceptional host—he helped us plan our visits around Santa Cruz Island and made our trip hassle-free. Our room was spotless, with daily cleaning, and the rooftop offers both a lovely view and a cozy shared kitchen. We felt completely safe during our stay. Hot water was consistently available, and the A/C worked flawlessly. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Disappointing
Location
No hot water for 2 days (out of 4 ) at all. We had to take a shower in other empty rooms … also horrible sound of boiler/pomp(?) in room 5 that was going off all the time even in the night . Filthy kitchen and tables at the roof taras. Most of the time - no one at the reception and no way to contact . Over all - Not a good stay , sleepless nights because of the sound . Honest opinion

Clean, spacious room with AC, daily housekeeping. King room also has a small size refrigerator. Rooftop terrace has kitchen, sink, small fridge, stove, microwave, table, chairs, and filtered drinking water.
Mirror over bathroom sink is very high. As a petite person, I could only see my forehead. Additional whole body mirror like in the King Room would nice.

The location is close to the market and is central
The facilities have little light and poor ventilation, the stuff took the dirty towels but didn't provide new ones, we want to inform them but the stuff is not around. No body is in the reception, there ring bell for calling them is not working.

Location is good but it can get noisy because it is on one of the main roads ( av. Baltra). The place has all the basic facilities hot water, AC, wifi.

no cozy place to hang out. they have the terrace on the roof top, but its not a nice and a very hot place. no drinking water supplied. not worth the money for me, should be half the price.

Rooms were clean and simple. Property manager was very helpful storing our luggage where we felt it was safe while we were snorkeling waiting for the ferry.
Location was incredibly noisy. May have gotten a bit unlucky with room right next to busy main street, but it was incredibly loud trying to get to sleep. If you are going to be out all night having fun, this is the perfect location for you right in the heart of everything. If you are planning to try to go to sleep between 10p-12a you may want to look elsewhere. Pillows were not good.

Central location, few minutes from the harbour, multiple Tour agencies restaurants shops etc nearby. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, hot water
Major issue : I was there during low season and the owners / reception staff simply left the hotel for the weekend and locked the gate behind them without providing me with a key / code to enter. They also did not answer the phone listed on booking or respond to dms. I pretty much had to break into the property or I would have had sleep outside.
Minor annoyances : very poor wifi, my room faced the main road and very loud all night.

Very clean (even changed the towels every day), rooms as advertised, friendly staff, central location close to the port and Charles Binford street with the selection of great local eateries
All good. I read in other reviews problems with wifi which we didn’t experience. And by all means, one doesn’t go to Puerto Ayora to spend time on the internet …

Wonderful
We booked this very last minute after a ferry cancellation and were so impressed with the value for money (although we probably got a good deal as it was so last minute). Our room was huge and the views from the terrace on the top floor are lovely. We were a little worried about noise as the hostal is on Avenida Baltra (main street) but luckily our room faced the back and there were no issues with noise at all.
We had no hot water - not sure if this was across the whole hostal or just a one off in our room
