This was my 3rd stay at the San Juan Hotel in the past year. The location, breakfast, room and staff are great. Denise, one of the front desk clerks is wonderful. She speaks English, is always smiling, and helping when she can. She deserves a promotion. this is a BUEATIFYL SPANISH COLONIAL HOTEL IN THE CENTER OF EL CENTRO. A FANTASTIC PLACE TO ENJOY A STAY IN CUENCA.
The breakfast room was sometimes COLD as the door to the entrance was OPEN, It was fine when this door is closed.

I've stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. The Hotel San Juan is dependable, clean, elegant hotel in an excellent El Centro location. Rooms are elegant and comfortable. Breakfasts are ample with a selection of eggs cooked to order, and hot and cold selections. As a single woman I felt secure staying there. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate me. For example, my plane arrived very early in the morning, but they allowed me to access my room immediately even though it was several hours before the official check-in time.
