They aren’t helpful. I asked the day before that I need to leave early in the morning (6:30am) which the guy said is possible but the next day I left 45 min later cuz they were late to open the main door.

Great location, quiet (except for some rude guests), pleasant staff, though they were very difficult to contact, close to transport, walkable for so much of el centro.
I was shocked and outraged that they tried to charge me 10% extra to use a credit card, when booking.com told me I could pay by credit card without mentioning this usurious add-on — which I suspect is in violation of their agreements with the various credit card companies.

Its 6 blocks away from old town. Very clean nice rooms, they give plenty of blankets as its cold in the room. They bring your breakfast to your little table in your room. looks like they have a small patio in the back with some exercise equipment.
Nobody spoke English, When I asked for towels they brought a floor matt. took away the trash liner and didn't put a new one in. owned me change for cash 2 days later. Cash only no credit card

The location is a walking distance to the city center, the room was clean and good size for a night
The check in was too slow, we waited around an hour for our room. The staff wanted to charge us with 10% additional to pay with card and did not offer to pay via bank transfer (normal practice in the city). The room was noisy in the morning because some works in the amenities =/

Having an accident when on the road is never fun. It's even more stressful when it happens over the weekend in a country where you do not speak the language well. When in Cuenca, I fell and dislocated my elbow and needed immediate medical attention. The kind owner of the hotel searched around for a clinic that was open on a Sunday, took me to the clinic, acted as an interpreter (it's not easy to think and speak in Spanish when your lower arm is dangling at 180 degrees to your upper arm!), and ensured that I received prompt medical attention to enable me to continue on my journey. For that, I shall remain eternally grateful. I sincerely hope that you will not need to experience the owner's hospitality in the manner that I did :)) As such, let me also share some information about the hotel itself. It is located in an amazing part of the city—just steps away from all the historic sights and fabulous restaurants. Surprisingly for a hotel located in the historic center, it offers free, secure parking—which was necessary for me, as street parking is hard to come by in the historic center. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and filling, the wifi worked very well, and the hot water shower was perfect on a cold, Cuenca morning. All in all, this property is highly recommended.

The staff was great and also we love the breakfast, everything was fresh and tasty.
I didn’t like the noise during the whole night, it was horrible, we couldn’t rest. it was the only thing I hate about the hotel.
