Nice rooms, good breakfast. Great staff - gave me heater for the room when I asked and helped me with logistics as they were my first hotel in South America. Kept luggage for me without extra charge when I went to Cajas for a few nights. Good shower, comfy bed. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Location is good if you don't mind staying a bit far from the historic center, I found it just fine.

Spacious rooms, great staff - on my first day one if them came with me to get a sim card. Peaceful and safe location with lots of restaurants and cafes, decent breakfest.
Only that it's a bit far from the historic center but they get taxis for you in minutes so it's not really a problem.

We were planning this trip to Cuenca for a long time. We decided to stay at La Casona based on the reviews and also the private parking. Our stay was great. The room was comfortable, the staff extremely nice, the breakfast was delicious and the location was awesome. Close to many good restaurant options and with a short walk you can reach the historic part. If we go back, we are staying at La Casona again.

We originally booked a room for 2 nights with a double bed. After the first night we requested a room with a larger bed and after looking at the suite room 202 we stayed in this room for 8 nights. The room is absolutely gorgeous- just like the photos and extremely comfortable. The staff have all been friendly and helpful making us feel like we are really staying in someone’s home. Finally the area is full of great restaurants and cafes and a supermarket is only 2 blocks away.

The hotel had a European villa look. Very clean rooms. Excellent amd helpful staff. It cost $3.00 to get from the airport to the hotel. All the sites around Cuenca are about a 10 minute scenic walk.
The breakfast was a but skimpy but still good.
