This historic building is 200 years old so expectations need to include squeaky wood floors in some rooms for example. Housekeeping staff were excellent and kept room clean and all staff were very kind.

It was clean, the front desk was helpful.
It was a little loud at night from thin walls and street noise. Water pressure on the showers could have been higher, but water was consistently warm.

A fantastic stay. I can't fault anything about the hotel. A stones throw from Cuenca cathedral. Superb staff especially Vivian and Jaime. Beautiful interior and balconies. The staff went above and beyond when Latam cancelled our flight to Quito. With my lack of Spanish, they contacted Latam to see what was going on and even printed boarding passes at the hotel. Jaime on the front desk was superb. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel in beautiful Cuenca.

The hotel is located in an old historic building. After our fist night, we transferred to a quieter room, which was a complete suite and very large and comfortable. The staff very friendly and attentive, but spoke little English - thanks Google Translate. The breakfast room was pleasant, but the only choices were eggs with or without ham. Abundant coffee. The location was excellent, just one block from the main plaza and church.
Our first night was in one of the balcony rooms racing the street. Although nice and large, the original single-pane windows didn't block any of the street noise which started at about 5 am. For our remaining nights, we were able to transfer to a larger suite unit away from the street.

Great location in downtown and walkable to shops, restaurants and sites. The staff was friendly and helped carry our bags to our room. Room was clean and comfortable with a mini-fridge. Wifi was good. Shower was hot with good pressure. Nice breakfast with eggs, coffee/tea bread and juice.
No elevator. Price was on the higher side, but also it was a holiday week.

Breakfast was fine, location was great. Staff was attentive and friendly.
We had an interior room with little ventilation, and it got hot during the day. The only way to ventilate was by opening the door and window, reducing privacy.

Needs major improvements - plumbing/loose floor boards/front desk phone rings early and can be heard clearly on second floor
