This place was perfect in many ways. Location was ideal along a long walking path by the river. My room had all the features I enjoy, a light and table by the bed, lovely view out the window, blankets not too heavy, pillows comfy, and best of all were Luisa and Fabiola. Wonderful women.
The little dogs always barking out the window downstairs whenever I came or went.

The room was great. The breakfast was amazing. This is our second time staying here and it has easy become the only place we stay at when we come to Cuenca.

The location was very pretty across the street from a park and convenient to the historical center of the city. The amenities were excellent as was the breakfast and friendly staff. A most comfortable stay and I highly recommend this hostal.
Parking was limited. But I had booked ahead, so I had no problem.

I want to thank Fabiola and Fernando, the owners, for being excellent hosts, they treat their guests like their family. The room is very comfortable, it is cleaned every day. Breakfast is fresh and delicious and served every day. The location is very convenient. Restaurants, buses are very close. The Kolibri is next to the Tarqui river, there is a bike path and a running track, the service was so good that I had to extend it for another week. If you want to have an excellent experience in Cuenca, I highly recommend the Kolibri.

Great value for money - lovely staff, great facilities, bed was very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, clean towels each day, shampoo and shower gel supplied, tasty breakfast.
The blinds in Room 6 didn't cover the window completely so you were woken up in the morning by the sun. Not a major problem but could annoy some people.
