Location and breakfast were nice
It was simply not a “five star” hotel. Unfortunately I saw a rodent on the premises, the rooms smelled a little humid, while the wifi and room phone were not working. My biggest issue is that the rooms’ toilet seats are often smaller than the toilet bowl which makes it kind of gross for women to use.

The hotel has exceptional staff.
They were very kind in general and politeness was easily seen in most of the ones we interacted with. Dominicans are generally happy , good natured and hardworking people, always with a smile and a kind word for the guests and we saw this clearly at this property. We are so grateful for this really positive aspect of our experience visiting the hotel.
Not good enough food was on offer at breakfast.Found it not to par with a 5 star historic hotel of this price range and category. The hotel was very full so not enough tables and staff was available to take care of everyone at breakfast during peak times.

Very Good
Beautiful premises that used to be a governor’s mansion. Nice staff, especially Felix who parked our car and helped with our suitcases.
The beds are way to hard and I could feel the metal springs. Suggestion: you should put a padded mattress cover or nice mattress pad on the mattresses.
