Beautiful property with large pools. Beach location was wonderful
Limited restaurants Although good food (not outstanding ) the prices were astronomical. Especially if staying with children who do not need a $20 snack or $40 dinner. Breakfast buffet however was great. Make sure to include in your hotel rate otherwise $40 per person,

Beautiful location and best beach in Punta Cana. You will fall in love.
The staff on the beach and the staff managing luggage and transport are truly amazing.
It's a very large hotel that feels a bit dated when you arrive it's not what you would expect from your typical 5 star resort so set your expectations accordingly.
Expect a big cement building and beach view with a big building in front, a bit like a corporate feel but on the beach.

There should be some type of music playing at the pool. The Arena restaurant has nice music playing it should also be played at the pool area. The resort is nice but lacks some type of activity.

The workers! Everyone was exceptional in reception to making sure we had a good experience.
Speed bumps everywhere, I went over one and it was a jolt to a passenger sitting in back seats. Suggestion as carts are speed controlled, having no speed bumps on edge of road for bikes and cart traffic.

Did not get the ocean view. Paid for ocean view but got the back of restaurant. Staff was ill informed about taxes.

We are adventure travelers who ended up here for a night out of convenience because of last minute airline cancellations. We are not resort folks or golfers. However, that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our 16 hours here. It was really great. And not just because it was impeccably clean, upscale and located on a stunning beach. The staff were fantastic, the beach was as clean as it gets, and the attention to environmental sustainability was present both in programs, but also in the native biodiversity we observed on the property. I'm sure more could be done, but it was obvious that the importance of the natural environment was more than an afterthought.
Overall, our experience was amazing. The only downside was for our 4-year old daughter who was quite keen on exploring the outdoor children's play area. In our limited time, she chose to go there instead of swimming in the remarkable pool or going to the beach (admittedly, we had spent a lot of time at the beach already). Her choice was probably because the children's play area looks amazing from far away. It is bright, colourful and large, but upon closer inspection is actually quite boring for kids. They can climb up the stairs, and go down the slide. That's it. Nothing to spin, turn, bang on or anything resembling numeracy or literacy supports. I'm quite sure that this resort does not cater to kids, but if it does appeal to some clients with younger kids, this is an area that needs attention and could very easily be improved. Well maintained hotel with excellent staff, excellent food and drinks. Sprawling property with many amenities, selection of restaurants and beach activities. Felt like my tropical home away from home.
Offer a fish sandwich at Arena on the lunch menu and more vegetarian options. The food was overall lovely though.
