Beautiful resort, spacious suite, responsive WhatsApp concierge service, and an amazing spa were the highlights of my stay. Location was good.
Watered-down drinks, check-in issues, hair in the tub upon arrival, and a broken room phone were frustrating, though most issues were eventually resolved.Old tequila bottles , The cats in the dining area

Nicely landscaped. Large guest room. Variety of pools. Decent gym. Buffet food was very good.
It’s a 10-12 minute walk to the beach, though they do run frequent shuttles. A dearth of available beach loungers, so get there early to snag a chair.

This place exceeded my expectations. The staff as very friendly, the food was not like your typical all inclusive meal it was better. The place is stunning. There aren’t alot of places that i would revisit but this is definitely one of them.

I loved how many on-site activities and entertainment, pool locations and food options. My personal concierge Carlos B. was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING from start to finish, he communicated promptly, was able to book me for several activities and restaurant reservations both on-site and off the resort. He found off site activities I was interested in as well within the hour of me communicating my interests. He would check in on me and make sure I was ok as he also understood I was traveling solo and this trip had alot of significance for me.
Super close to surrounding areas for activities and the beach, walkable area and unbelievably comfortable for a solo female traveler.
DONT HESITATE BOOK IT.
I will be a repeat guest for sure and telling all my family and friends.

Unforgettable Experience at Hotel Zel!
Our stay at Hotel Zel in Punta Cana exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional and personalized service that made our vacation truly special.
The hotel is impeccable, everything extremely clean and well-maintained. The food is excellent and the staff's attentiveness is top-notch. We were pleasantly surprised with an incredible room upgrade that elevated our experience even further.
I want to especially highlight:
Alexis, one of the managers, who gave us an excellent welcome and maintained exceptional service throughout our entire stay. His personalized attention made all the difference.
As well as Edisson, who assisted us wonderfully with restaurant reservations and ensured that all our experiences during our stay were perfect.
Luis Ricardo, whose show at the Hitachi was simply memorable.
Baby, with her attentiveness, vibrant and contagious energy.
Gabriel from the pool bar area, who without us even asking proactively approached us to offer the entire bar selection and provided us with direct poolside service. A detail we truly appreciated.
Rudy at Neguri, who provided us with excellent service at the beach.
Rafael from reception, whose coordination of our departure and warm farewell was the perfect finishing touch to our stay.
Without a doubt, Hotel Zel not only offers first-class facilities, but also has an exceptional team that makes every guest feel truly special. Totally recommended and we hope to return soon!

Loved the staff, pool, and the way the resort is laid out! Beautiful rooms and gorgeous trees create a lovely setting, and the staff bring such a lively, spirited energy. Jesuary was our favorite—so kind—and our concierge, Frank, was always quick to help, which made our stay even better. The resort feels very intimate and welcoming.
The food needs more consistency—presentation was nice, but very few dishes stood out. Room service was poor; taste and presentation struggled, and the selection could have been better. Rooms were beautiful but had some rushed details. At check-in, one staff member turned rude when we declined an upgrade (we had already upgraded online before we arrived). Tennis courts weren’t available, and the ones next door had cracked surfaces and worn-out equipment. I’d also suggest improving the snack selection in the rooms. Guests should note that typical branded wines are available, but at very high prices. Overall, a good stay with room for improvement as the resort settles in.

Master suite with pool access was a dream. Spacious with 2 jacuzzi’s one inside and one outside. Private gazebo by the pool.
Restaurants were amazing with healthy food options all day long. Table portions were conscious of amount to avoid wasting food. If still hungry you can ask for more.
Different activities offering every day with physical and handcrafting options perfect to relax and mindfulness. At night, also different activities to entertain without being too loud for those who prefer more quiet options. Entertainment personnel with a lot of enthusiasm and cordial communication and engagement with visitors.
Pool area spacious and clean.

It has much more of a contemporary atmosphere, lots of activities and very much of an open concept. Staff were friendly and food quality was excellent. It is a resort to decompress and relax.
I honestly can’t pinpoint something specifically, i liked it a lot. It is on my repeat resort list.

The room was very nice. Modern, spacious, comfortable. Every member of the staff was great! Helpful, thoughtful, and very friendly !
The rest of the things were not good at all, unfortunately. The food was TERRIBLE! The beach restaurant is somehow okay but the rest! The food variety is so small, and the food has no taste at all! Never is any restaurant of dominican Republic, we had such a bad experience. And the worst, they had no drinks available. Champagne finished, wine finished, aperol finished. Are you kidding me ? How in such a hotel all this drink might be finished ???
The staff try to make it up, but when you pay money, you expect to at least have basic food and drinks.
We did visit Melia hotels many times around the world, but this one was the WORST experience ever!
They told us that it is because it is a low season and they lower the prices, so that's why quality dropped. But no, in 2 weeks we went to another hotel in punta cana that had the same price and it was great! It was just as this level of hotel in the dominican Republic should be!
