what i liked best was the a la carte restaurants, especially the hibachi style one was our favorite
the buffet style food was not the best and the service there was also horrible. we would be almost done with our food by the time a server would come and bring us water. whole time our room phone didnt work and the safe. we never got it fixed

Restaurants below average; burnt meat at the Garden Grill. Discotheque same music all night; need a real DJ. God; worst hotel overall I have been ever. Will not return.

We loved the staff at Bahia! They were so kind and accommodating and really made our stay! The resort was beautiful and really worth the amount of money we paid. The a la carte restaurants were fantastic! The rooms were a little dated, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool was beautiful, the beach was clean and had plenty of seating. We never had to wait for anything or lift our fingers for anything. Our bar tender at the pool was amazing, as were our waiters at the restaurants. The excursions through the resort were great as well. We would definitely come back again to stay, we didnt want to leave!
The food at the buffet was just okay - it was hit or Miss but I expect that in foreign countries. One day the line for the buffet wrapped around the Lobby but that only happened once. The beds were kind of hard but still got a good nights sleep. The wifi was spotty everywhere but our room but that wasnt a huge issue.

The fact that my room was not clean the hotel is out dated the sheets look worn out and old 6 nights and only got my room clean once they under staff the only nice person I encounter was at the Japanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant and the young lady Cindy that worked at the buffet she was so amazing and accommodating she made us feel welcomed

Convenience location of room to the lobby pool.
We did not get adjoining rooms .. lots of construction , especially at the beach, no restaurant or bar or pool accessible at the beach. This made it hard to stay at the beach. Most of the rooms are clean but falling apart. It's not what they showed in the pictures on the site.

layout is good and shuttles when they are on time are great to get to and from the beach, pools and restaurants. pools are fun but be prepared for mojitos, pia colada, and beer. coming 2 provides great service for excursions
hotel staff are rude and short especially is you Spanish is not fluent. intrahotel driver took us the next hotel Bravara and would not take us back so we had to walk with a baby in arm to the adjacent hotel. AC does not work and all the restaurants are hot. beach is full of kelp and they dont clean the beach. restaurants at the hotel best book weeks in advance. we could only book one restaurant during our 5-days. lobby area is full of sales people trying to sell you property and anything else. late night Tuesday the pools closed at 7:30pm for the day. told the buffet it was it was my wifes birthday and I wanted to take a little plate of fruit and mimosa back to the room and that was a big no go. never staying here or any other Bahia Principe again
