Location was great! 5 minute walk to a spectacular beach!! The grounds and the pool.were very well maintained.
Carolina, the host, was awesome!! She was very attentive, kind, and would always answer promptly!!
The water has a foul smell, but that was out of the host's control.

Excellent location within a short walk to El Cortecito beach and the 365 Beach Club.
Los Corales and Bavaro were a couple of minutes away by car.
Safe and enclosed parking facility.
Very cumbersome payment process for the prepayment with additional costs for international transfers.
Confusion about the cleaning charges of USD 40 per each stay (my reservation was included of these charges but via Whatsapp I was initially requested to pay these additionally). This was sorted out in the end but having to go back and forth via Whatsapp with the owner is cumbersome during a holiday.
Rusty amenities in the bathrooms.
We experienced a sewage smell in the bathrooms on the first and fourth day of our stay.
The stovetop had multiple burners but only one was working. Again messaging via Whatsapp with the owner but there was no solution.
The extra costs of electricity consumption can run quite high (90 kWh was charged at Eur 30).

The pool was great. Very quiet, but also relaxed with kids. Friendly guards and very safe surroundings with kids. Couple of minutes from the beach. Also a very large appartment, other kids to play with!
Really a gem for that. But... lots of small annoyances which the owner and managers tried really hard to fix, but I think with a few tweaks they could make the stay a little less bumpy.
The actual apartment is a bit old, with bits of rust falling off from the gas bottle and other (not great for kids).
Also a lot of things break down. Staff very helpful to fix it but... in one week we had
1.no more gas at diner time, but they came as soon as they could (but we did have to order pizza)
2. 2x electricity power cut (somehow we used the electricity up and she had to refill - would be better to pay up more in advance since it wouldn't go to waste)
3. Other power cuts, at lunchtime, or at night
4. 1 toilet broke and they couldn't fix it
5. The other toilet didn't work well, often had to flush with a jug of water
6. Pre-payement of 50% requested to confirm the booking (not stated on booking.com)
7. Complicated pre- payment process
8. Map directions were wrong, but I told the manager and she said whe would fix it.

Carolina’s condo is fantastic for great value and a beautiful and friendly complex and glorious pool. Her team including Gabriela is very efficient and kind. the security is excellent for the area. this is a way to experience Punta Cana in a more authentic way with more locals. a short walk takes you to many good restaurants and the glorious beach. Favorite places to eat: Ohno’s, Pastrata and Kats Corner. great deck in the sun we hardly ever left the complex it was so nice inside but when we did the beach was close and nice. groceries are a quick Uber to the well stocked Jumbo (Dutch) supermarket.
might need an update on the towels and sheets soon. pack your own if you are very picky and need fancier stuff.

Carolina and Jose are super nice ❤️ we loved the pool and the outstanding security staff! I have often been harassed as a traveller to the Dominican, but not with the security at this establishment.

the addresse on booking.com is not correct; the real name of the property is "Sol Tropical" and it is not easy to find this spot for taxi drivers (read carefully the first e-mail from the host to find the exact localisation and show it on Googlemaps to taxi driver; otherwise it is difficult to get there)

The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment had a fully supplied kitchen, comfortable living room, ac in each area, ceiling fans. It was a very secured complex, extremely helpful staff, only a block from several restaurants, beach, mini markets.
