The host is lovely, very personable. Best part of the experience. He offered us waters as we walked in.
We walk in and a giant cockroach scurries away. The bathroom smelled, the walls had visibly chipped paint. The whole place was in disarray.

It is like a little oasis in the middle of Santo Domingo. Perfect for a night before an early flight, it’s only 10 minutes from the airport and he can arrange a taxi anytime.
It’s very difficult to control the temperature on the water in the shower. It’s either boiling hot or freezing cold.

Very helpful host. Room was big and overall the stay fully met my expectations for a single night before my early flight.

It was clean but the cover to the futon should be changed immediately because of old stains.
Your mosquitoes. The cover on the futon needs to be changed. The location is not far from the airport but they should have a sign from the main road for directions. The electricity went off many times. No Wi-Fi when electricity was off. They need a generator. It would be nice if they kept some seasoning for the food like pepper and salt.

Situated ten minutes from the airport, the drive costs $20-25 by taxi, $15 by private car organised by the owner, and 650 DOP by uber. The area is quite desolate but relatively safe. Convenience store nearby. Very modestly furnished and equipped but the important thing is good wifi and ac. The owner super host!
