In my opinion the dorms were a bit narrow, you have some privacy but would be nicer if there curtains, there is a socket by the bed, you have a shower and a toilet inside the dorms. I had to cancel my original booking which was on a female dorm but ended up needing this for an earlier date and I stayed in a mixed dorm. Another thing I liked about this is that you can download an app and check in yourself which I did but forgot there was a feature where you could get a digital key. I did not stay for breakfast as I was only there for a quick stop but I saw that they sell sandwiches and coffee if you ever need them at anytime.

the beds were comfortable and clean, overall amazing, nice staff, good atmosphere to get to know people
the metal music that kept playing very loudly every single evening in the lobby from 10pm was really annoying and made it very uncomfortable to be there. bathrooms in the form is fine but it would be better if it wasn't milk glass because of the light at nighty curtains are always a great add-on as well as more hooks everywhere.

Good location, new building
NO AIR CONDITIONING - falsely led to believe this property has Air conditioning on booking.com. I then raised this with both the property and booking.com. They admitted they were falsely advertising they have air conditioning and i asked for a refund but only received a 20 nzd voucher from booking.com.

It’s really friendly atmosphere has everything you needs and was comfortable base to explore. The bar and lounge areas were great places to sit and relax after a day exploring and they had entertainment (including the World Cup final) on big screens)
The air con could have been a bit better as it was quite hot (especially for those on the high bunks) but that’s a minor quibble.
