The staff were exceptional. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. The communal dining was different, but provided a uniquely pleasing experience.
Pricing. but to be fair, there was an IBA (lawyers) conference in town this week and so prices were doubled everywhere.

The location was charming and convenient. The communal dinners were the highlight of my visit.
The basement room took some getting used to. I could hear people walking by, strollers being pushed, etc and their feet were right outside my window.

Fantastic location on a picturesque and quiet street that runs alongside a canal. Wonderful and eclectic furnishings. This is a special place! Our room faced the small back garden and that was pleasant enough for us. All the small details in the room were charming (the window latches!) and and the lobby/bar area was comfortable. The staff were all nice and while we were relaxing in the morning before breakfast they came to ask how we were and if we wanted to go for a morning swim (we will do next time). I would absolutely recommend staying here. We had two children, aged 9 and 12, and they also loved the hotel/location. 10/10!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for getting to the old city, museums, etc. We enjoyed the community dinner they have in the eveing.
Being a very old building there is always something that could be better. But then, the historic value is a plus!

There is a real warmth & feeling of belonging not found in most hotels. The long tables for dining & the optional group activities promote connection with fellow travellers & locals & put Kanalhaset on a level above most accommodations. Also extremely warm & comfortable & beautiful building & staff delightful.

Where should I start? The apartment is huge (we really got a big space!). The separate washer and dryer were perfect. It was spotless and the staff were super helpful and sweet! Views of the canal from our windows were lovely. We always look forward going back after going around town. The family just loved our stay here. Can’t go wrong here! It is simply one of the best.

Fabulous location, staff was amazingly friendly and delightful to be around. Food at the place was delicious and they do a nightly dinner open to neighbors and guests. It was such a nice experience, dinner is a fixed menu but if you have allergies very accommodating with plenty to eat and everything they served was delicious. The concept is family style to get to know people in hotel and experience the lifestyle of Copenhagen. Apartments were large and wonderful., with great views. They came with a washer, dryer and functional kitchen. Beds extremely comfortable and wished we stayed a few more days. I cannot rave enough about the hotel/apartment, its very inviting

I was in a bad spot because I lost my phone on the way to the hotel. the staff went out of their way to do whatever rhey could to ease the pain and help me get around. I ate at a few different places, and honestly the food there was better than any of them. Large rooms, excellent facilities. Copenhagen’s best kept secret
