Very close to a beautiful park and castle

it was a quiet location and safe for our car which was unsecured with a broken window.
The room was big (room #7) and the bedding was clean.
The hallways smelt damp and doors and carpets need updating. Our room carpet was stained.

Location
No prior communication about access- no facilities. No lift, no WiFi. They did not give us the room we paid for and said that they would reimburse us but they haven’t. The carpets were stained and disgusting, all the veneers were peeling off and there has been zero investment into this property. It is awful.

Location is good, right next to the castle Wolfsburg.
The cleaner has been trying his/her best,
but even the cleaner can’t do miracles.
Alter Wolf is a total rip-off. Avoid at any cost!
It has probably been an cosy inn back in the 80’s, but the current owners have let it deteriorate and it’s clear that nothing has been done with it for decades. There is no staff available, and it’s clear why not; it’s easier just to take quests money and avoid the initial feedback. The place is sad, not taken care off, and it’s only there to make money for the owners.
