Location was great with easy access to all attractions in Wismar. Parking was very convenient in the back of the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful, always with a smile A lot of choices for breakfast and other meals.
The hotel needs some updating, it is a bit rundown and in need of new mattresses. We could not use the spa as we were visiting on a Monday and it was closed.

The young man at reception helped me by printing and then scanning a document. There was a bit of complexity to it and he handled it with expertise and a helpful attitude.
The sensor activated light in the bathroom doesnt seem to detect your presence through the glass doors of the shower. This means it goes out while you're in the middle of your shower, and you then need to open the shower door to reactivate the light.

The carpark, spa, and pool were not included in the price and the carpark should have been prebooked which was not made clear at the time of booking.

Excellent location and good parking place. Special thanks to Mr. Matthias von Schöning for an early check-in and a bigger room for our 4 pieces of luggage, and reservation for our parking place! Thanks also to the Hotel to inform us that they did not request Booking.com to renew our Visa information and they did keep the reservation for us.
We use the Visa card for our reservation since more than 10 years with Booking.com! We strongly request Booking.com to check who sent us several times the same email on the name of Booking.com, requesting us to renew our Visa information and to pay the hotel fee immediately days before our arrival. If not, our reservation would be canceled .

Excellent location - facilities and decor a bit dated, but the room was large and comfortable, the staff helpful and we had a pleasant stay.
The entrance area could be a bit brighter and more inviting, and the rooms need either to have a modern design or go for a genuinely antique look - it all just seemed a bit dated.
