Staff was nice, location is very good, room was large and beds were comfy
Room was in a separate building next to the villa you see on the pictures. Parking costs 5€ per night, but that wasn't told at the check in.

Hotel Location - a short but pleasant walk down to the town and situated in a quite spot right next to paths that lead up to the Schloss and other walks.
Our Room had a great view out over the town and valley beyond where we could see the sun setting.
Ample parking availble at the hotel.
Helpful and pleasant Staff.
Parking was on hotel property and I thought that this should have been made free to guests although this was known when we made the booking I thought it on the expensive side although I know other hotels in the town do not have this facility.

The recepcionist was really nice and welcoming, she even wrote a letter to help me with my late check-in in my mother tongue, I really appreciate this gesture and how nice she was during my stay there.
When I had breakfast, many products were missing. I thought they would be replenished, but it didn't happen.

Had a good breakfast. Girl that worked desk was very helpful and friendly. Location was close to town, but if a person has any mobility issues it could be a problem because of a steep hill.
The room that we had was of an odd shape made made it mostly unusable. It was also in the roof, so had no usable window, just a roof window. So, no view out. Didn't like that at all.

The Hotel is very nice, surrounded by the forest, beautiful narrow streets, and a castle above. You can easily get to the city center, or walk in the woods if you like) the breakfast was great and coffee too
I would like to have more bath products provided, it is always nice to try some testers of local production maybe.

I had a comfortable stay at this hotel. Bedroom had good views over the town and WiFi reception was good. Breakfast also good with variety of things to choose from. All staff I encountered were friendly.
Quire a steep climb up from the annex to main hotel could be a problem for older people. No other issues

Centrally located about 7 minutes walk from the city center and 10 min walking from the nearby castle. Receptionist was hospitable and upgraded us upon arrival. Room was large, the building is vernacular style German architecture. Breakfast was great.
All great. One tiny issue - no elevator to second floor so those carrying large bags can find it challenging

Clean rooms, but we thought we had booked two rooms in the main building, but we got two rooms in the annex downhill...
In one of the bathrooms the toilet seat was crooked, so you sat at the toilet bowl... the hotel is too expensive for that.

The Schlossberg hotel was wonderful. The front desk was very helpful giving us suggestions on what to do and where to go. The breakfast was delicious and the wait staff was very helpful. I got the impression that not as many people from the US visit Wernigerode but I found the hotel and whole town wonderful. My husband is learning German so we were able to communicate though the staff at the hotel and restaurants had someone who spoke English. We arrived late and happened to be given the attic room - very, very large but it has a very narrow staircase to the third floor, so just take your time going up and down the steps. Super charming room, with plenty of space and great view. Very short walk to the castle from the hotel.

We booked this hotel last minute and was not disappointed. This is a smaller hotel, more of a boutique hotel. A short scenic walk to the center which is worth a stroll. The hotel is located at the walk entrance to the castle and also to the paths of excellent cycle/hiking trails. Room was very clean and beds were superb. Would definitely stay here again. (Breakfast was exceptional).
