Very Good
The hotel is very close to the train station, which is great when traveling by train and if you want to reach Brocken. The spa facilities were small but nice and deserted in the evening.
The breakfast was a bit overcrowded and it was impossible to find a table that was cleaned up. Even getting the staff's attention was quite hard.

It was only 10 minutes from the train station. The hotel is huge but very quiet. The breakfast was ample.
We tried to eat dinner in the restaurant but were turned away as we didn't have a reservation.

The room, food, location. Its a nice relaxed base to explore the local area. The buffet meals have sufficient variety to give you choices. The room was clean and well stocked on arrival. Staff helpful and responsive. Have stayed before and would again.
The common trend to not service the room without asking at reception. Have a card to ask for it to be serviced or not to hang on the door but raising the bar to be discouraging is all too common. Not really a fault but an all to frequent irritation.

Wonderful
I‘ve stayed here numerous times over the years, and the standard never slips ,it’s got a great location just outfoxed the main pedestrian zone but close enough to the railway station and the Schmalspurbahnen.
I only did breakfast this time but there’s always a great selection of hot and cold food.
Room was was clean and after walking around in the Harz all day the fact that the room had a bath was really appreciated.
Nothing of note.

It is nicely located close to the town centre. Big rooms. Clean.
Breakfast was chaos. There is huge throng of people and a lack of clean tables or large tables reserved for groups not using them. More two people tables are required or perhaps a time booking scheme.
Children in the wellness area. There is a lot of noise lack of towels and serenity. Perhaps an over 16 policy like most others.
No tea or coffee in the rooms.

My family really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable, with amazing view from our window to the city and castle. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Central location. City parking right next to the hotel. Special thanks for the baby bed, although it was not supposed to be offered. I highly recommend.

The shower was the best from what I've experienced in my life.
The breakfast was also very diverse and tasty.
Checking in and out was a quick and nice process.

Location was quiet. Walking distance to Hbf, steam train to Brocken, and city centre.
The reception staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull.

5mins walk to old town, quiet area.
No aircon but it’s okay to open the window as night time getting colder. The shower gel not fully refill, I found that it’s empty the next day morning.

Exceptional
The stuff was amazingly friendly and helpful. At some point we forgot our stroller in the garage nearby and they were so kind, that they went and picked it up for us. The little surprise for the child was also really nice and pleasant.
The people were smoking right at the entrance. It spoiled the impression a bit. Also, there was some party nearby which one could hear through the night. No air conditioning nor a ventilator was in our room.
