It was very easy and the breakfast was fantastic - one of the best we have had in Germany.
The shower cubicle was so narrow that if you moved you knocked the tap which controlled the temperature.

Excellent breakfast and great location. Very handy for the bus stops in Goetheplatz. The partner restaurant nearby was good value too.
The price you pay for that convenience is a bit of street noise into the late evening. Rooms that face the street will be aware of the loud voices coming from inside and outside the sports bar - Zur Alten Laterne. Keeping the well soundproofed windows closed gets rid of most of the noise but makes the room rather stuffy. One or two of the staff could do with some training in customer relations; being shouted at by the receptionist for making two cups of herbal tea in the early evening was unnecessary and rude - we knew very well that we would be expected to pay for them and were perfectly willing to do so along with our friends who were having drinks from the bar at the same time. It was also on another occasion petty and penny-pinching to tell my sister that she shouldn’t fill her small water bottle from the water dispenser in reception as it was “only for cups of drinking water “!

The hotel is in a great position and a lot of the city's attractions are at a walking distance. Our room was spotlessly clean and the lift to the upper floors added to the hotel's convenience. It also has a private car park, but if you forget to book your slot in advance (as we did) you might find no place available, and there are no parking possibilities nearby, so you have to leave the car in a multi-storey car park at a 5 minutes walking distance. The breakfast buffet in the morning was enormous, tasty and varied (offering both salty and sweet food, which is not so common in Germany). The staff was nice and allowed us to do an early check in and to live our bags in a deposit after check out
As the car park is not huge and if you don't book your slot in advance you might find no place available, we would have enjoyed a reminder from the hotel a few days before our arrival
