The facilities were excellent. The staff was especially delightful and helpful. The lobby and bar were a welcome area to wait in. There are excellent restaurants in a small shopping area nearby where we had an excellent Italian meal. The location was a further walk from the train station that we expected, but we quickly discovered a nearby bus stop that we used for transportation.
We stayed in Weimar to visit Buchenwald, the history of which is very dark for its WWII denial. The city bus driver was not helpful and dropped us off far from the camp. We ended up walking miles along the railroad like to get to the camp. This is not a problem with the hotel, but it should be brought up to the tourism organization as an issue that should be addressed for future visitors.

The location was fine for me working in Jena. Room, food, and staff were excellent. The staff couldn't do enough to help, and so attentive to every detail. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Car park barrier underground could be a bit temperamental at times.

The hotel is excellent - spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, very well situated for the Frauenplatz, Goethe's house, Schiller's house etc. There is an underground car park with its own section for the hotel, separate from the section for the general public.
A tip for anyone on a motorcycle. There is a sign at the car park entrance, unhelpfully situated too late to allow you to turn around, saying no bikes allowed. Being too late to turn around, I went through to the hotel section. You can get past the barrier even on a large bike (BMW R1250RT). I paid for parking, of course, but don't be put off by that sign.
The hotel is excellent and I have nothing at all negative to say.

These very spacious superior rooms are located in the classical villas, russische gesandtschaft (russian embassy) and dingelstedt villa, which are connected by the exclusive new main building. these rooms offer a view of the park on the ilm, the goethe house or the bauhaus university. the bathrooms are mostly equipped with a bathtub. the air-conditioned rooms feature free wi-fi access, lcd tv, safe and coffee and tea making facilities and are modern with elements of the bauhaus style. furthermore, a small selection from the mini-bar and a bottle of mineral water are included.
