When I booked this room, I thought it might be a bit quirky and not to our liking. I booked it anyway because the location was excellent and I figured that we could put up with quirky for one night. Upon arrival, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised. The room was not quirky at all, but extremely well, appointed in a very traditional sense. We loved staying at the Romantik and would highly recommend it.
Nothing about the hotel or the staff was negative.

The Hotel Provided An Outstanding, Romantic 3 day stay. They even provided a Chocolate Bunny for Thanksgiving. The Restaurant in The Basement was Excellent As Well

We were in the junor suite which was up a spiral staircase after entering the room door. The room was spacious and lovely. We are older and did not realize this at booking.

The location was wonderful. Room was nice, cozy and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. In the morning the smell of freshly baked bread welcomes when you leave your room.

Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. Roomy bathroom with good, hot shower. Delicious breakfast buffet with a nice selection. The room had a nice bowl of fruit and they gave us a welcome glass of sparking wine and a parting gift of a jar of their homemade jam. Also had lunch in the hotel restaurant that had a good selection of traditional German dishes and was delicious. Location was very convenient to Trier sites, shops, and restaurants. Highly recommend!
No on-site parking, but parking garage was only about a 5 minute walk away.

We had a wonderful time here.
1, We stayed in a suit on the top floor. It is quiet in my room at night.
2, The location is quite good. It is convenient to go to the tourist points. The food in the hotel’s restaurant is nice.
3, The room is big and clean. We are provided with the bottle water everyday.
4, The staffs are friendly and provide useful information.

Comfortable and large room. Nice welcome drink and fruits basket was nice. Great location for sightseeing. Nice breakfast. We will stay here and other Romantic hotels in future. We also had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant (white asparagus, local wine, grilled meat dish, soup, salad etc. )

Great location, nice room, wonderful restaurant and really great staff!
Very small thing that I already knew about, but for those who don’t, the hotel is on a pedestrian. You can park for a short time a block away to take in your bags, then you will want to park your car elsewhere.

Very comfortable room with a sort of living room in the balcony that was over the street. Although it was over-looking several restauraunts we weren't affected by street noise. We ate one night in the hotel's restauraunt which was good too.

Excellent location in the town centre with many restaurants, cafés, stores and tourist attractions in walking distance; spacious and spotlessly clean room and bathroom combining old-style appearance with modern comforts; balcony overlooking a quiet (except for the rooster) and picturesque courtyard; (very) old, yet well-maintained and impressive building; attentive and friendly staff; decent selection of food and drink at breakfast and in the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner; complimentary water and fruit/nuts in the room and jar of jam upon departure.
We would have appreciated tea/coffee-making facilities, either in the room itself or in a communal area.
