Very Good
An absolute gem! The hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent, our room was spacious with a decent bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. We will definitely be back!
Very pleasant stay, but the pillows were way too soft and the air conditioning could definitely be improved.

This is a wonderful hotel in a historic building near the Alt Stadt and Roman sites. And it was the best hotel room I’ve had in six weeks! Large bathroom and shower, very comfortable mattress and linens, coffee ready in the lobby early - and a very functional room. It looked small when I walked in, but I quickly discovered several shelves that fold down. One is a luggage rack, another a desk with light and electrical outlet, and one just to hold things.
Loved my view of the courtyard and the fresh air, but was also happy the window blocked all sound when closed. Other guests were also considerate, so I rested very well. I didn’t want to leave when it was time to move on! Very welcoming staff, just a great stay all the way around! Elevator to all floors and drinks/snacks for sale in the lobby. Definitely recommend.
I will say this basic room worked very well for me, but it might be tight for two people.

Room design was nice and had a historic character, very functional design and well configured with quite a lot of space.
Location was ideal, right downtown close to many historic sites, with a 20 minute walk to the central station. The staff was very friendly and competent.
There were no major issues.

The hotel was on a quiet street close to the old town which was fine because we were driving. Parking on site (paid). Room was nice, simple and good price.
Everthing was fine. We bring our own water kettle because many hotels since COVID don't supply one.

Perfect location in the heart of Trier just a short walk from the Porta Nigra and Cathedral. Good sized room with lots of space which isn't as typical for European hotel rooms. On site parking was a bonus. This was our second time staying here and it's the only place we'll stay when we visit Trier.

Location and cleanliness were great. Overall happy with the stay. Staff was friendly but only one person in the lobby (never saw two people there during our stay). Being so close to the Christmas markets was key for us and Ibis didn’t disappoint there.
Checkin process needs some work. The lobby layout is more like an office than a hotel checkin. Had two people in front of me and it took almost 30 minutes to get my room key.
The parking is tight and very difficult to navigate.
Lastly, the provided pillows are terrible. Maybe an inch thick. We ended up buying pillows at a store a block away.

I appreciated the staff the most. I'd lost my passport, and late one night, one of the staff personnel helped me by printing out a document, sending it to his phone, and having it sent to my email. He was extremely helpful.
We found everything to be positive; no bad experiences. BTW, you'll appreciate the breakfast.

Great Location BUT Zero signage in the main square outside the narrow entrance to the hotel courtyard - the only signs were for 2 unconnected restaurants !! So we wandered around and around for ages.
As above, plus no wardrobe in Double Room.
Also, only ONE coffee machine in Breakfast area for such a big number of rooms !! INEVITABLE UNNECESSARY QUEUES every day.

Nice central location in the heart of Trier. Bed was quite comfortable. Nice Pizza place right across the courtyard. Staff was helpful in arranging taxis.
Very minimal amenities. We stayed for four nights and the room was never cleaned. We had to go to the reception desk to get clean towels and toilet paper. The multipurpose soap in the shower was empty when we arrived. There was a huge low beam in our loft room which made it difficult to get into the bed on one side.

WIFI works
The washroom needs to be better equipped with decent toiletries and it must easy to use -- this was not the case.
Bottles of water or small water tin boxes to start but not there. Staff did not bother to greet - i was waiting for 10 mins - they saw when I entered but no acknowledgement or any like wait till we finish etc.,
