The facility, rooms and staff was perfect!
Unfortunatelly they forgot that I have booked for 4 people, and even that the room was the correct one, I only had services (bed clothes, towels, etc...) only for 1 person :( as I arrived at midnight, It was not "easy" to get all done at that time.

Lovely older village stay, under modernization. Charming room we got, with nook for kids (216), modernized bathroom.
Great restaurant for "modernized traditional cuisine" - lovely soups, schnitzels, fish.
Some parts are under renovation, but it was nothing that disturbed us - no building noises etc. during our stay.

Everyone there was very helpful and good at communicating. I arrived after normal opening hours, but the procedure for getting my key was well described by email, and they even called me beforehand to check.
Be aware that the EV chargers need to be unlocked by reception.

Beautiful location and a very nice hotel in general. All with all definitely worth visiting. There was a lot of flexibility and quick responses from reception staff. They made me feel welcome upon arrival.
The breakfast was good however the staff there was almost trying to stare us out of the room. They were somewhat rude and dismissive making us feel like we were invading and should leave. Not a pleasant experience.

A fabulous family run hotel. Like many German Country hotels, it was comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was great. The food was copious and well cooked. Good value for money.
This is more a criticism of Booking.com than the hotel. Booking.com should understand that many people look for a hotel with a restaurant, because they are travelling long distances. Therefore an evening meal after several hundred kilometres of driving is really important. We arrived at this hotel to find the restaurant fully booked. We stamped our petulant, tired little feet, and the lovely staff found us somewhere to be fed. But the need to pre-book dinner, is something that should be flagged in "things you should know". That's on you, Booking.com.

Large and clean rooms. Convenient having a good restaurant at the hotel.
The room was a bit too warm.
Given that the restaurant menu was quite balanced and with animal-friendly options, I was surprised that the eggs at breakfast were from a battery farm (code 3).
