Wonderful
The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had plenty of storage room. The bathroom was clean and functional. I appreciated the meals that were provided, I was able to have dinner and breakfast and it tasted good. Beer was also cheap and generous. Overall, a nice place to take a rest and also get see some historic sights.
The bathroom was quite tight and not a lot of room around the sink. I also didn't realize that school/youth groups use this hostel, so there was lot of noise and yelling in the halls from the kids, including a lot of echo. It eventually was quiet at night. Checkout felt a little early, 11 would be better.

Wonderful
Lots of fun to be in a castle and the breakfast was stellar. Best breakfast ever and came with the room. Everything was well organized and we were able to check in late at night. Shower was great; view from the windows exceptional. Staff was very friendly and easy to ask questions. The parking garage wasn’t too far away and was €12 for 24 hours which was nice. Walking distance to all the old town sites.
There was a heat wave and the rooms were hot and didn’t have any fans. We opened the windows and that helped but still quite stuffy. Usually I don’t believe it would be a problem. It was especially aggravated by the heat wave.

Interesting property as it was once part of the castle. Location was nice and central to the old part of town although does require a walk up the hill each time you return. Booked the family room so 4 beds and private bath. Nice to have the bar/lounge available as well
All comes down the staying at the hotel when it’s summer. Temps hit 30+ when we were there and no reprieve from heat as there is no AC. Having a portable fan would have been handy. It’s a hostel so yes there are a few things you need to do like turn in bedding. But instead of everyone lugging it to the ground floor, why not have a cart next to the elevator on each floor.

The location is near the castle where you can take a walk
The room was hot as hell. Too small window and the room is tiny for 4 adult men. You walk out of the shower, no door, straight into someone's bed.
Night was so noisy from snorring and coughing I couldn't close my eyes for 1 minute. Oh and the heat was so bad I was soaked in my own sweat. I counted the seconds till the morning and got out of there.
Only 1 receptionist spoke English.
And you pay 3.5EU fee per night for membership.

The location was awesome. And the facility itself exceeded our expectations. It. was modern inside and the room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast options and drink availabilty. Lastly but most importantly, the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. I would definitely recommend this location as a great option for families who want a room as close to the caste as you can possibly get.
Everything was wonderful. I can't think of anything that needs to be improved.

The location could not have been more perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
My only complaint is that there were no outlets by the beds.

It’s v cool being able to stay in a castle! The room was basic but clean and with its own bathroom, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.
There was only 1 electricity point in the room so maybe another one or two now we’re all reliant on our phones would be good.

Although it's a hostel, it has private rooms also and we stayed in one of them. Excellent price to amenities ratio. Excellent location, right beside the Castle and inside the old city. Clean, comfortable and spacious, two-level room. Breakfast was good. There was a rather inexpensive parking building close to the hotel.
No complains. I would stay in this place again.

Amazing opportunity to stay in the tower of a castle adjacent to the main Imperial Castle complex in Nürnberg. Very comfortable four person room with its own toilet and shower room. I stayed with my 3 young sons (aged 10, 8 and 7) who loved being so close to all the major sights of Nürnberg.

I had a fantastic experience staying at the castle hostel in Nuremberg. The location couldn’t have been better — right in the city center, close to shops, restaurants, and historical landmarks. It was the perfect spot for exploring the city.
The hostel itself was incredibly clean, and the atmosphere was both charming and comfortable. The castle setting added a unique and memorable touch to my stay. The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and always available to answer any questions or offer recommendations.
