Initially, there was no hairdryer in the room - it was provided immediately upon request at the reception. Instead of the usual cramped shower stall, I had a full-size bathtub; a good set of snacks for breakfast
the bathtub and sink drain looked like it was from the last century (it would be nice to clean them), but overall the drain worked; the way the wires were attached under the table was a bit alarming (see photo); due to the high demand for hotel services during this period, the price, in my opinion, was three times higher than adequate, but since there was simply no alternative and the costs were compensated by the employer, then ok.

I had a pleasant staying in Hotel Erlenstegen. The room was clean and comfortable, no noise around, good space and good service inside. There is a parking area with space for 6/8 cars, the breakfast was good with salted and sweet options. The hotel location is perfetc: there is the tram station just in front of the hotel reception, with a fast connection to the centre of the town. The distance to the Messe centre is appporx 18min, very easy to reach to. The staff is lovely: the blondy Madam (Gabrielle?) and Airlie at the reception desk are very friendly and supportive, I had a lovely conversation with them and they helped me with good advices and support. I definitely will come back again!

I arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM only to find it locked. I was forced to wait outside in the cold for an entire hour before someone finally showed up to let me in. This place doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel; it’s merely a building with individual rooms. You receive a key and are left to fend for yourself—there is no lobby, no staff, no reception desk. It’s just you and your room. The bed is creaky and uncomfortable, and the room is cold, lacking any heating. The overall quality is subpar, reminiscent of the 1960s, despite the so-called renovations. If there wasn’t a shortage of accommodations in Nuremberg due to the exhibitions, this room wouldn’t even be worth thirty euros per night. In reality, it barely justifies that price.

On checking in the very friendly and well spoken receptionist who advised that there was some refurbishment taking place which was evident as new mattresses and furniture was stacked in the lobby sitting area and there was a fresh paint odour! The Owner also explained the circumstance. As a consequence there was no breakfast available but there is a backery close by. I was offered coffee. My room was adequate and the rating as decribed. The hotel is close by a tram stop. The location was ideal for my particular stay in Nueremberg. Hopefully one day I will return and see how it looks after the refurbishment has settled down!

Localisation was very convenient. Easy access to highway and to city center by tram
Misinformation about opening hours of reception - on booking 15:30; on door of the hotel 14:30; in reality reception starts working from 16:00 so we were confused when we arrived and doors were closed Elevator works only when reception is open.

Very nice hotel. The location was good also. There was a gas station a block away. You could also walk to cafes and restaurants. We would stay here again. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
