Exceptional
A very cozy little hotel, tucked away in a side street in the old part of Nürnberg. The rooms are simply furnished and relatively small, but they are comfortable, there is everything you need, and it's scrupulously clean. Breakfast is simple, but good, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants withing easy walking distance.
The only disadvantage of Hotel Elch is that the nearest U-Bahn (metro) station is a 10-15 minute walk away.

Wonderful
From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The reception area was welcoming. Our room was very cute - loved the little personal touches (welcome sign on the bed). The breakfast was delicious. Was the perfect location surrounded by lovely restaurants as well as beautiful lanes to walk.
Only downside was not having a lift. Thankfully we were only one level up but carrying the bags after a long day traveling was difficult.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is nice and convenient - close to the Xmas Market and the City Centre, yet quiet. The breakfast was great, with good English and local choices. I also enjoyed the welcome message in my room and a good choice in the minibar.
When passing the narrow hallways, one can see the kitchen and other service rooms, feel the smells, etc. It was not allowed to take mulled wine, nicely served at the reception, to one's room, and that's really weird.

Perfect location to explore Nuremberg. Close to the main attractions, easily walkable, clean facilities, friendly helpful staff… rooms sizes were comfortable. We would stay here again no hesitation

Like the location, staff was friendly and nice. Breakfast was delicious.
Bed was horribly uncomfortable felt like a cot and had the springs coming out of the mattress. Did not sleep at all.

Breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh options.
The staff were all very helpful. Finally the location was great and just a short walk from the central market square.
