The cleanliness was excellent, and the room was spacious (an extra bed was provided for our 9-year-old son). It was comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were changed daily. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of a bottle of water and apple juice being left in the refrigerator every day. The location was excellent, with the Weißer Turm metro station just a 3-minute walk away, as well as a very well-stocked supermarket.
We arrived at the hotel at 8:00 a.m. and were informed that check-in started at 3:00 p.m., but that we could come back around 2:00–2:30 p.m. as the room might be ready by then. Since there was not much we could do in the city at that hour and everything was still closed, we waited in the lobby. Around 1:45 p.m., we asked at reception whether the room was ready, and a different employee informed us that check-in was at 3:00 p.m. and that an early check-in was available for an additional fee (€20). It would have been helpful if this had been communicated to us when we arrived in the morning. We would have gladly paid the €20 instead of waiting for so many hours until almost 3:00 p.m. By 1:45 p.m., paying for early check-in no longer made any sense.
I also do not understand why Booking.com gives guests the option to inform the property of their arrival time if, upon arrival, the staff apparently do not see, read, or take this information into account.
In addition, the refrigerator in the room worked very well and kept everything cold for the first two days, but from the third day onward it stopped cooling properly. The Wi-Fi was also very poor. A decent signal was only available on the ground floor, and even there the connection was unstable and frequently interrupted.

The location is top notch for a city stroll. Also nearby subway and 15 min by foot to the main train station. Lots of local restaurants nearby and also an excellent bar at the venue with opening hours even after 12 a.m.
The staff is very friendly, the venue is clean and comfortable, our room was also Greatly isolated and silent, we were able to get some good sleep (the second night).
We did not have a booked breakfast but it is available as well as an underground parking slot.
The entrance/ exit from the parking is not that big, so might be a challenge for bigger cars, however, still a great plus.
Overall a great experience for a short weekend away with the family. Probably even better for a business trip.
We have booked for 2 adults and 2 children.
The room suggested, however, seemed to be a 'normal king size room ' basically only for 2 people. An extra bed was to be booked for one of the kids and we ended up sleeping at the king size bed 2 adults plus a kid. In general doable, however, not comfortable.
The second night we relocated the kids to friends home so that everyone could get a good night's sleep.
Evidently, this information was available during the booking process. Genuinely, I do not expect to search for a room for 4 people and end up with a suggestion suitable for 2+1. Hence, lessons learned and my suggestion - always recheck the suitability for family bookings before purchasing.
