It is in a great location with parking across the street. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great!
They took time to point out special locations to visit in the Alt Stadt on a map they went over with us upon arrival. That was very nice and extremely helpful.

The place was clean and well taken care of, room had fridge, A/C, balcony and excellent water pressure in the shower. Right in the heart of Nuremberg, easy access to everything. The car park is next to the hotel and a discount when staying. This family ran hotel earned 5 stars for the pride and care they put into this business. Thank you for the generous hospitality!

The style and character-historic and cozy yet with updated with beautiful colors and furnishings in the room, location, cleanliness but most of all the owner who personally took care of us. She was so friendly and kind and made sure we were happy and comfortable. She gave us lots of recommendations and ideas for seeing Nuremburg. We will definitely be back next time in Nuremburg. Highly recommend.
Everything was wonderful-no complaints.

The hotel is run by a mother and son which I think is so lovely. The son runs the front desk and welcomed me so kindly even though I was drenched in sweat from walking to the hotel from the main train station. He showed me a map of Nuremberg and took the time to point out all of the places I should see. Not only was he great, but the room itself was AMAZING! I stayed in several hotels during my trip to Germany and this was the ONLY one with AC. The room was massive and so comfortable especially for the price! Fun side note: after I got back to the hotel from a day of exploring, he asked me if I visited the Beautiful Fountain and spun the ring for good luck, and after saying yes, he gave me an adorable little key chain with a gold ring on it. It was so sweet. If I’m ever in Nuremberg again, I will not stay anywhere else besides Franconia City Hotel. It is also in a perfect location.
Not even a big deal but it is about a 15 minute walk from the train station which was a little hard for me because I was carrying a very heavy travel backpack. But I would have walked longer for this hotel honestly.

The hotel is located directly across the street from a big parking garage. Very convenient is you are arriving by car. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. You can easily walk into the center of town from the hotel.

The Franconia City Hotel was ideally located in Nurnberg. We just walked right out of the train station and walked about 13 minutes to the hotel. It was mostly level walk, with sidewalk all along the beautiful city walls. At check-in we were greeted warmly and given quick tour of the city on a map and provided excellent tips for cute streets, local sites, local shops, and restaurants. That made it very easy to explore the city once we settled in. Nurnberg is such a great city for walkers and it is easy to get around. The hotel is just a short walk from museums, historic sites, and shopping. Being close to the train station was also helpful if you wanted to check out sites further out that required a tram or s-bahn. The room was like having a studio apartment with a balcony and a tiny den. It was spacious and clean with all the amenities you'd need. Wifi was good. We had a comfy bed, lots of places to sit, write, or read in the room, there was a tiny room with storage, closet, safe, and a tea kettle. The bathroom was a decent size. Good shower pressure and temperature. Our balcony looked out on the courtyard/parking area for the local fire department. It was not noisy at all. It was a nice spot to drink some tea and read. One night, we saw the firemen play street hockey in the evening, which was a fun surprise. I would definitely stay here again!
Not a complaint just a fact: the hotel does not have an elevator, which was OK for us as this was the beginning of our travels around Germany and we hadn't loaded our luggage with souvenirs. It could be an issue for folks with mobility issues.

Lovely little hotel run by mother and son . Just out of the Main Street to avoid any hub hub . But near to everything in old town. Just over ten minute walk to main train station.
Everything great considering the cost .

The perfect hotel to stay at when visiting Nuremberg! The location is less than a 10 minute walk to the center of all the action in old town. The hotel itself is absolutely charming- true Franconian style. Staff was lovely. Hotel room was huge and suberb. I highty recommend staying here for the full experience.

My parents stayed at Franconia City hotel this April and here is their review:
"Our stay at this hotel was simply delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful atmosphere, spotless cleanliness, and the warm hospitality of the hosts! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always ready to offer helpful advice (even with our limited German / English language skills), communication was smooth and pleasant. A special heartfelt thank you for the lovely gift from the owner! It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that made our stay even more unforgettable!
Breakfasts were a real treat: a generous and varied buffet with something for everyone, and the staff gladly prepared special dishes upon request. Every morning felt like a little celebration!
The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of the old town, just steps away from all the major sights. Plus, getting to and from the airport was quick and easy, which made everything even more convenient.
We truly enjoyed every moment and will wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to all our friends and family. Can’t wait to come back!"

Excellent, comfortable, small hotel near all the best parts of Nuremberg without being right in the busiest areas. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable. We didn't do the breakfast but it looked tasty. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best quality-price ratio of the hotels I've ever been to! The room has all the facilities, including some nice touches as a shoe horn (a true rarity in hotels in Europe). The location is perfect for exploring the medieval centre, with a nice old franconiam restaurant just around the corner.
The view wasn't spectacular, as the inner yard basically belongs to the firefighters quarters, but I guess it's not a huge disadvantage of you're a fan of those beautiful firefighters' machines:)
Thank you for your information!
