Actually LOVE the dated decor. Its a snapshot of 70s decor that is unique and extremely well preserved. The location was prime. Far enough away from the craziness, but less than 15 mins from city center. Edeka is at ground level of this building!!
No. Staff makes up for the rudeness of restaurant owner below. Fortunately, the hotel is NOT affiliated with the restaurant.

This hotel is punching way beyond its description.
The staff were both kind and showed me real hospitality whish was genuine and amazing. I loved staying in this hotel a d my biggest regret was that it was only for one night
The rooms are spotless and I slept really well.
The breakfast buffet looked good but we had to leave early for a long drive back to calais.
Underneath the hotel is a full service Edeka supermarket with an excellent bakery Cafe where we got a takeaway car breakfast. Across the car park is a Hofer supermarket.
Behind the hotel is a very nice beer garden for a drink and food.
This hotel is slightly out of the way but so worth the visit.
It looks slightly dated but the room was spot on with what was needed for a quiet and comfortable sleep. It was clear that the rooms had been refreshed also
Both my partner and I thought that this hotel was one of the best we stayed in during our two week road trip across Europe.
In closing one of the real defining factors was the genuine hospitality shown by the staff to us.

It is great value and perfect position near the waterpark we want to visit.
Everything was fine except one thing that completely destroyed any chance of a good nights sleep. Unfortunately we had the only room that was next to and faced a courtyard/beer garden on the roof. It was a hot night and the room didn't have air conditioning so had to keep the window open. The window was 4 metres from where the tables were. A group of people unbelievably were outside all night drinking and smoking and making quite a lot of noise until 5am. The hotel needs to make sure that access to this area is locked when they go off duty at 10. Unfortunately they don't offer 24 hour reception, then I would have been able to go and see them about this. Every time I thought about going to speak to them they ended going indoors for another half an hour before coming back out again!
