Wonderful
The staff were very friendly and the spa was excellent. It was very closely located to the u-bahn and was easy to get in and out of Munich centre. It's close enough that you can walk to either the Englischergarten or the BMW museum depending on your wants
The bed could have been a little firmer, but I am over 2m tall and 100kg so this is a personal issue I'm sure.

Rooms are great and breakfast is awesome! Nice parking garage and also only a few minutes to the U6 which gives easy access to the city center and the Allianz Arena!

nice spacious room with a beautiful view, beautiful spa area, breakfast offered a lot of choice; receptionists were friendly and helpful
cleanliness could be better (room service) but also at breakfast (please check the nuts, flaxseeds, mueslis etc. more regularly); flexibility of staff could be better, we wanted to order food at 21:40 (10 mins past the time the kitchen closes which we didn't know) and were not offered any small snacks and had to order food externally. not a lot of restaurants nearby, difficult to find something to eat later at night

The rooms and the whole hotel are clean
I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at Steigenberger Hotel München. While using the sauna, another guest took my room key and bathrobe by mistake. The reception told me to come to the desk myself, so I had to walk through the hotel in just a towel. The replacement key didn’t open my locker, and I was told to wait until the next day for my belongings.
When I asked for a new bathrobe to be sent to my room, I was promised it would arrive “immediately” – it never did. Even after calling again, nothing came, and I had to go and get it myself. The staff member I dealt with was the most unhelpful and rude I have ever met in a hotel. This was supposed to be a special birthday stay, but it was completely ruined. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
