Rather nice hotel, location is normal for that price, tram station is nearby; rather clean and comfortable. We could leave our belongings before check in and after check out
The reservation system was not working, when we aarived. First time face that kind of situation, we were waiting for almost TWO HOURS to get our room. I am not sure, what can be done in such situation, we left our belongongs and go for lunch to the cafe nearby, but it was really strange. Next morning we also saw a couple on the reception, who were facing the same problem. Since hotel is located not in the centre, we were not sure, that we will return early enough to make a check-in, so, it is the seriuos factor to pay attention for

Had to book at short notice as flight was cancelled so did little research.
Taxi from airport ridiculously high price , although this was not hotels fault !
Bar closed early and no food service after we arrived approx 10pm
Very basic hotel.
Reception had terrible seating area for guests, hard plastic chairs, needs a full revamp so first impression on arrival was not good
Bed linen was old and shabby and needed replacements, pillows were so flat also. , yet room looked like it had been refurbished.

The hotel was comfortable for 2 days stay, within the walking distance from the public transport
Because of the UCL final, prices of the hotels in general, was overpriced. Unfortunately I had to pay too much as I stayed in the hotel during that period.

Star G is a very nice hotel, and evidently Family Friendly because everybody we saw had a bunch of kids, and there were lots of customers. The families also spent time in the lobby, where there was an actual arcade game as well as other entertainment. When do you ever see people in a hotel lobby? The demographics made me wonder if there were a Disneyland nearby.
For me, the best thing about this hotel is that there is a niche in the bathroom over the toilet, so males can look at a dried flower arrangement instead of a dumb old mirror, which seems to be such a popular bathroom design element. Who wants to look at his own face while doing that? More niches in bathrooms!
I will forgive them the sliding glass door that serves both the toilet and the shower stall, and the glass wall facing the bedroom, with an afterthought curtain. This hotel fad is not nearly as clever as you think.
We had breakfast dates every day we were in Munich, so we never tried that.
The man at the desk the first night told us that Deragtstrasse has free parking and we didn't need to use the 16 euro per night parking structure.
Dave thought the coffee was bad. But even in a multinational big office desert like north Schwabing, there are a bunch of coffee choices.
