Disappointing
Unfortunately, I can’t say what I liked about the property, because the situation I experienced upon arrival completely ruined the stay for me. It made it impossible to enjoy or appreciate anything about the accommodation.”
I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the experience I had during my recent stay at your hotel in Munich. Prior to making my reservation, I clearly communicated that my arrival would be in the morning, and your team assured me that this would not be an issue and that I would be allowed to check in early. However, when I arrived around 10:00 AM after a long journey and exhausting travel, I was shocked to find that my room was not ready — not only that, but I was not allowed to check in until 4:00 PM. The staff kept giving me excuses, repeatedly claiming that “the system is down” and that they could not check me in. There was no proper communication, no real effort to assist, and no solution provided — I was simply left waiting in the lobby for hours. This is completely unacceptable, especially after being given clear confirmation before booking. I find the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and absence of basic hospitality to be deeply disappointing. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures no other guest goes through a similar experience. Guests deserve transparency and respect, especially after a long trip.

The room was very nice and clean, service was impeccable.
The location next to the Hauptbanhof is a bit weird for a luxury hotel, however the Block itself and the street from the hotel onwards is very nice. And the typical crowd that tends to hang around any main railway station in the world does not spill over to the hotel. So the location is more a feeling than an actual downside.

Central location . Staff at the bar/cafe was very nice.
The room 708 is too small for 2 guests. The carpet had many stains. And the furniture showed visual signs of extended use ( for many years.) The waiter at the reception behaved snobbish and we had to get our own taxi. All in all not what we expected for 500 EUR a night.
