The location is excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with excellent mattresses and pillows. Most of the staff, particularly the receptionists, were very friendly and made our stay more pleasant. If I went back to Munich, I would choose this place again.
The only thing I didn't like was one waiter (older gentleman, unfortunately don't remember the name, I think it started with A) who made several rude remarks to my friend on two different occasions. The rest of the staff, including other waiters, were really polite and helpful, though.

Even though I had paid in advance, I was asked to pay again at midnight. It took me an hour to prove the payment. Again, while I was having breakfast, the chef came and told me I hadn’t paid, and asked me to leave the dining area. I had to stop eating and go back to reception to prove once again that my reservation included breakfast. Anyway…

The room was spacious and clean. The lobby was welcoming and clean as well.
It was close to the train station and we walked to the local places well. It was in a business section and at night it could get a different crowd outside but felt safe the entire time.

Close to train station. Housekeeping was very good, and credits offered when skipping a day of cleaning. They always said hello when we passed the lobby.
Very expensive for a simple, small room which could use updating. We had to take our own bags to the basement when we arrived. It was the first time in Europe I couldn’t check in on arrival. Very little food in breakfast buffet and nothing plant based to eat.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at this hotel, which I booked through Booking.com. with the booking reference number : 5989207472 on 05.10.2025 According to the listing at the time of booking, the room I reserved was described as being 55 square meters in size. However, upon arrival, I was given a significantly smaller family room, which did not match the description or photos provided online.
We were two families who booked at the same time, paid the same amount, and yet we were given very different rooms. The other couple received a spacious, two-room unit, while I was given a small, single-room unit with a sofa bed squeezed into the entrance area. This is completely unacceptable and misleading.
Furthermore, while booking the room, I specifically requested a quiet room with natural sunlight. I also sent a second message one day before arrival, asking again for a quiet room with a nice view. But I was given a small room ( room number 220 on the second floor ) over looking a roof with poor daylight. Despite clearly expressing my preferences twice, no attention was paid to my request. I believe a guest who takes such care in communicating their needs deserves at least basic consideration.
I raised this issue with the reception, but unfortunately, they were unhelpful and dismissive. I was told there were no other rooms available, and they tried to brush me off with vague explanations. In response to my dissatisfaction, the only thing they offered was a free breakfast, which is not an adequate solution for the inconvenience and deception I experienced.
I feel misled and disappointed, as the room I received was clearly not what I paid for. This situation amounts to false advertising, and I believe I am entitled to a refund or appropriate compensation.
I kindly request that this issue be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to resolve it.

My understanding is King's Hotel offers the same standard in all locations. I hope to stay at a King's Hotel in another city in the future.

Wonderful
This hotel really pays attention to details. The best part was something seemingly simple, the room was dark. No light creeping in from the door, or lots of gadgets. We had the courtyard view room, so it was nice and quiet as well.
Not surprising for a city hotel, but the room was small.
