Family-run for over 100 years and a 3-minute walk from Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt Market, this charming, nonsmoking hotel in central Munich offers free WiFi and traditional Bavarian breakfasts. Wonderful
A wonderful little hotel in the middle of it all - only a block away from Marienplatz in one direction and Viktualienmarkt in the other. Staff is professional but friendly. The breakfast is one of the best with many choices and coffee excellent (served in a silver coffee pot) and brought to your table. Old world style and elegance. No machine coffee!!! Cookies at reception too.
As mentioned by others, the shower leaked onto the floor.

The location to the Christmas market is exceptional
The bed was very uncomfortable and felt like springs would pop through. I also didn't like that you had to walk through a small outdoor area to get breakfast. While the location to the Christmas market was great next door is a beer hall and at night the front of the hotel was crowded with drunk partiers.

Incredible location, friendly staff, good breakfast, convenient parking.
The room I booked was incredibly small, it looked better in the pictures. The hotel uses 2 measures for "queen" and this was the small one - totally inadequate for a couple. The hotel allowed us to upgrade to a larger room for 2 of the 3 nights; that room was great.

The location was great, 20 minutes from the main station, 4 minutes from the nearest station, and minutes from Marienplatz. The room was as expected. It was nice and quiet which was fantastic. The shower had great temperature and water pressure.
The bed wasn’t super comfortable but did the job. The included breakfast was okay. Nothing special. There was a Nespresso machine but you had to pay for the pods. Would have been nice if one or two were included.

Hotel Schlicker is wonderfully located near the center of Marienplatz and is easily walkable to the subway station and all of the churches and other attractions in Marienplatz. The staff was warm and friendly and allowed us to store our luggage early until our room was ready. The breakfast was extensive and the breakfast room had much German charm. We highly recommend this hotel.
