Dinner was great but expensive (CP value low) Breakfast good but waitress from Africa very unattentive. But waitress from Ukraine very service oriented.
Prior written wishes through booking.com were ignored and only after check inn I received a confirmation that my request for a quiet room was received. So my single room in the old building was on the 2nd floor-no elevator and probably difficult to reach for elderly people with luggage. Bathroom was not equipped with sufficient toilet paper

Exceptional facilities backed against the English gardens, this hotel is situated perfectly for relaxing strolls and for commuting into the city center. Excellent staff, room, breakfast, and restaurant. No other place I’d choose to stay in Munich.

Location, because is close to where I live. The room was booked for my parents.
We booked a room in the annex building, and the room they gave to my parents, who are over 75 years old, was on the second floor without an elevator. Access to the annex building room involves crossing a corridor between the restaurant and the dining room. It is very food-smelling and noisy. It is not according to a 4-star hotel. When I expressed my concerns during the check-out, after they asked about our stay, the staff in the lobby was really unfriendly and told me it was my fault for not reading carefully. The fact of not having elevator on the access to the room is on the facilities list of the room but in the general description of the hotel it clearly says the hotel has an elevator. For sure, this will be the first and last time I will book my parents this hotel for a visit.

However, at checkout they informed us that the actual cost was 70% of an extra night, which was over €200. This left us feeling misled, as the original explanation was unclear and very different from what we were charged.
