Cleanliness excellent.
Staff at the reception excellent.
Although the hotel is located on a quiet street, the room is noisy - you can hear the tram passing in front.
Breakfast could be better.

The room was large enough, well appointed, and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the location not far from the central train station was convenient for me (10 minute walk to the Lufthansa airport bus stop, for example). For breakfast, I took a morning walk to a nice cafe (https://maps.app.goo.gl/q3KzXK9BpQKMp6dg7), and that worked well since I like to combine walks with breakfast.
The street that the Excelsior is on has an unfinished construction project right across from the hotel, and that is somewhat off putting for some travelers.

Staff were professional and friendly. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy and facilities were great. Location is great for access to station. Short walk to the Marienplatz and a good base for sightseeing around the city.

Location and design of the entire hotel was really amazing. Really clean and comfortable.
The air conditioner is not working above 22 degrees. I am not sure it was 22C. If you go april or may, nights can be cold.

We have.stayed at the hotel twice before. But now the area where the hotel is situated is very dirty, empty buildings and major railway works being done.

Location perfect, in city center a snd near to central station starting point for your any trips within city travel and out of city travels. Breakfast perfect with great quality of food. Rooms are quiet and cosy.

Great location close to HBF and metro, walking distance to old town. Room was clean and comfortable. I had requested a quiet room as we have stayed before and had a noisy street facing room. The quiet room was great, very little noise at all.
I don’t think breakfast was as good as our previous stay and expensive for what we got

Location was good. Close to the center of the city.
We had two problems. The first room facing the street was very noisy so we were moved to inside room. Fortunately we checked the safe the night before our departure. After a fair amount of time the safe was unlocked and we had our passports. This could have been much worse if we checked the safe next morning and found the batteries dead. The person at the desk minimized our concerns and did not offer a reasonable discount for our stay.
