The restaurant being closed on a local holiday. Everyone deserves their local holiday time - but in a major top flight hotel there should never be a time when the hotel is open and its retaurant is closed. Relief staffing should be provided.

There was no air conditioning. The room was very hot. We were provided a fan but it was not enough.

Pleasant
We got 2 rooms. One was perfect but the second one was w/o air conditioning and the windows were next to tramp station. It was very noisy with open windows and very hot while it was closed.

We booked online for a Classic double room but when we arrived late at night we found it was a twin room. No problem. Next morning they gave us a lovely double room on the other side away from the noise of the trams!

It was my fourth or fifth stay at this quaint and very comfortable hotel. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. One passenger rooms a bit small but cozy and comfortable.
Bathroom very small, not so comfortable, although it has a very good shower.

Room were beautifully decorated and spacious.
Our stay 3 nights was severely impacted by no electric fan in one of our four rooms, which led to an unbearable heat and a sleepless night especially during a very hot summer. We requested a fan from the reception on the first night, and were told to wait until the next morning. The next day, we followed up multiple times with at least three or four different staff members, reminding them of the issue. However when we returned to the hotel late at night, there was still no fan provided. None of the staff took our request seriously or made any real effort to resolve the issue. The only response we received was a repeated, “Sorry, no more fans available,” with no further attempt to find a solution. It was only after we complained strongly and insisted repeatedly that we were finally given a fan — which clearly shows that the fan was available all along. For a hotel in this price range, we expected good service and attention to guests’ comfort. This experience was very disappointing and upsetting. The hotel failed to show basic customer care, and we truly felt neglected as guests. Overall, the stay was not worth the money we paid. We would not recommend this hotel in the summer, especially if you’re expecting comfort and good service.
