With 2 sets of pillows, we were able to choose soft or hard pillows. Breakfast was very nice and with lot of options. Rooms were clean. All worked perfectly.
We needed to choose in advance the time for breakfast because the hotel was full. No one checked the times in the dining room.

Holiday Inn Express Munich City West is truly my comfort zone! This was my second stay, My last visit was on march, and I have already planned to come back again soon. Every time I plan a trip to Munich, this hotel is always at the top of my list. The staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful — they really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
The rooms are cozy, clean, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The breakfast is exceptional, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options to start your morning right. The location is incredibly convenient, just steps away from the train station, making it easy to get around the city.
One thing I really appreciate is that the hotel allows guests to store their luggage at the reception. It made our travels so much easier, especially when visiting nearby countries before returning to Munich.
Overall, it’s a place that combines comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Munich City West to anyone visiting Munich — it never disappoints!

Great location , next to transport to city centre. Modern and welcoming hotel. Breakfast is good.
I had stayed here several times before but felt that standards have slipped regarding the maintenance of the room. We stayed 3 nights, and our room was only cleaned once. After the cleaning, it felt that it had been rushed, towels were left on floor and were not replaced, and a lot of things were disturbed but not put back in place eg tumblers in bathroom, toilet rolls left on sink.. Also we had to ask for kettle and we had to go to front desk staff to get coffey, tea bags etc.... Also, although the breakfast is good, the room is very packed and disorganised. It can be very busy and noisy also. It feels like a free for all.....
