Charming room on 3rd floor with comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast downstairs, although important to pay in advance through the hotel to obtain a discount. Good proximity to Altstadt.
Price was very high because timed with Oktoberfest.

The rooms are designed beautifully with real attention to detail. Small but cleverly put together. The barn style door on the bathroom mirror, the lighting, the rain shower, just really impressed me from the moment I opened the room door. Not to mention the tea and coffee selection - local, organic. Breakfast was very Bavarian style. If I am in Munich again I will be staying here for sure!

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are very original and cute. The hotel is close to the center, excellent public transport and the food delicious. The pub in the evening has got a very good atmosphere. Love it

Comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Not a huge impersonal hotel, but relaxed feel. I like the location which is quiet but still and easy walk to the center. Its the hotel at which I usually stay when visiting Munich. Great restaurant.
Rooms are a bit small but this is because it is an older traditional building. Prices are high during Oktoberfest, but its the same everywhere in Munich.

This hotel was a charming, comfortable, and restful place to enjoy Munich from. The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional Bavarian motif with old photos and drawings of Munich landmarks and the restaurant is amazing. We came to spend a long weekend in Munich to experience Oktoberfest and other local attractions and our time at Marias Platzl Hotel ended up being one of the highlights of our little trip.

Room facilities were pretty good. Shower was good. Made best of space. Bed comfy.
Disappointed in the fact that as we were on the 3rd floor our room was in the sloping roof space of the hotel. The bed was under the slope and consequently only accessible from one side and with limited head space. We were there for a week so we were surprised they gave us this style of room. It would have been impossible for an older couple. In addition, the room has no air conditioning, a fan was provided. However it was noisy and only achieved moving the hot air about. The size and slope of the roof made the position of the fan restrictive on the room space.

Well located (around a 20 minute walk to the centre) and though the room was quite small the space was used and designed well.
The toilet and shower setup was strange - they shared a sliding door so only one could be used at a time and they were not at all private. The water from the shower leaked out into the toilet section.
