This hostel is set in a quiet side street, a 2-minute walk from Munich Main Station. Euro Youth Hotel Munich offers spacious rooms, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour access. Everything was great! Tried to book a couple more nights but they were filled.
Elevator problems on and off. But got fixed quickly … just a little scary to think it could fail.

This was originally a 6/10 review but the staff were very helpful in resolving the dissatisfaction. Conveniently located near main station but the area isn't nice. the staff is about the only positive about this place.
8 bed dorm room was veryy smelly. the building is old and nothing felt clean (just from aging). the bathrooms are in the basement (a floor down). not convenient. People can be load going in an out very late/ early. just not an enjoyable/ comfortable experience.

the front desk staff were knowledgeable, helpful and so pleasant. the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. the shared bathroom was clean. the location was perfect for an overnight stay between trains. plus there’s an elevator!

Close to train station, grocery store. Clean, quiet. Restaurants nearby. All I wanted was a bed close to the banhof as I flew out the next morning. It was perfect for that. Good facility at a good price.
The neighborhood was a little on the seedy side but the facility was secure and safe. Loud drunks in the street late at night. Would have been better if staff had called police to have them removed. If you are looking for proximity to cultural attractions there are probably better options.

Cleaness and vibe
The bathroom was uncomfortable because of the door and it doesn't have any hanging part inside or any place to put stuff. There wasn't any specific plan to make guests meet each other. Most of the time I thought there are german groups but I was in doubt intrupt them to hang out.

There is a door to an outside area so I could smoke a cigarette to escape the sweaty chaos inside
I came for Oktoberfest, so obviously it would be packed with drunk guys, but damn the room was sweaty and loud with no ventilation. The people who stay here are not quality people and you will not meet any Europeans to go to Oktoberfest with here.
