Everything was great. Staff are excellent and really friendly.
Nothing. Right in the center of Munich. Within walking distance of almost everything you could need. Close to at least three train stations. The marketplace right outside the front door was great. We enjoyed a really relaxing and nice stay.

The hotel has a great location right on Viktualienmarkt. It's truly an unbeatable location for convenience and access to the old town of Munich. There's a great coffee shop in the market steps from the hotel which made for an amazing morning ritual during my stay.
Additionally, the staff were highly professional and very nice throughout our stay.
The rooms have seen better days -- the walls, floors, and furniture are beat up and not well maintained. They leave macarons out on a tray to welcome guests to the room, but unfortunately one of my coworkers' was covered in ants when she got into her room. This, together with the generally worn and somewhat dark interiors gives an impression of dirtiness or dinginess that makes for an unpleasant stay. Considering what we paid for our stay, it was an altogether unhappy situation.

Slightly quirky arrangement of lighting in the room takes getting used to

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed in this hotel and you just can’t beat the location. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. This trip I left something in the room and they gladly shipped it for me. Will definitely go back again.
