The breakfast was amazing, wonderful selection. The location was central to the places we wanted to visit. The room was comfortable.
The shower floor had soap scum build-up that was kind of gross. The construction made is difficult to navigate the building, signage could have been better inside the building. Room was extremely expensive. When a room is as expensive as this one was I don't feel charging for mini bar and breakfast is necessary.

ı enjoyed the breakfast which had a good amount of choices, the staff at the door and reception was very friendly, the hotel's location is perfect to walk around the heart of Munich with the old town and high class shopping
ı was badly surprized to see the hotel under construction. i was not informed before which made me quite unhappy.
i did not know where to ask my friends from outside to meet before leaving for a walk as the was there was no lobby. You needed to find a place to sit.

Luxury hotel in the middle of Munich old town, and with parking for our car. Staff and facilities are superb; I wish I could have stayed longer.

The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of major attractions and excellent nearby restaurants. The staff were consistently professional and helpful.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Hotel lobby is small with low ceilings; it does not convey a strong first impression.
The bar is very large, but the layout is open and impersonal, lacking warmth and intimacy, it feels like a sports bar.
The hotel also caters to a significant number of group tourists, which occasionally resulted in a noisy atmosphere.

We were greeted with pieces of fresh fruit and chocolates in our room, which was appreciated after a day of traveling to the hotel. The space was a nice size, making it easy for us to settle in and feel at home. Our closet & shelving arrangement was helpful for staying organized while traveling with bulky winter clothes. The hotel also left a little bag of fruits & candies on our door handle for St Nicholas Day which was a lovely surprise to find that morning. Attention to these & other small details like chocolate covered espresso beans by the coffee maker and an extremely helpful luggage porter at checkout, made our stay comfortable!
No breakfast included at the rate we paid! It was a very high price & breakfast should have been included. This small investment by the hotel would pay great dividends in guest satisfaction.

Loved the room. Loved the staff. Loved the pool and spa area. The location cannot be beat. The breakfast buffet is always marvelous.
Of course the fact that the hotel is undergoing renovations meant that there were some inconveniences, but that is minor.

I liked the location
It is truly unfortunate that such a historic and charming building is managed in a way that undermines its potential. Although the lobby area was not dirty, there was effectively no proper lobby or seating area due to ongoing construction, which made the entrance and overall arrival experience quite inconvenient.
The rooms themselves were very disappointing—old, worn out, and noticeably unclean. Despite having a confirmed reservation, I also felt that the staff were trying to assign me to some of the least desirable rooms, which made the situation even more frustrating.
While the hotel benefits from a good location, the overall experience simply did not justify the price. I cannot recommend this property, as the lack of proper facilities and the condition of the rooms significantly diminish the quality one would expect from a hotel in this category.

The food at the restaurant
For a hotel with the reputation and pricing of Bayerischer Hof, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The room was advertised as a double room with both a king bed and a twin, and the photos clearly showed two separate beds. Instead, we were given a room with only one king bed, and when we raised the issue, the staff were dismissive rather than helpful.
We also attempted to book spa treatments, only to be told that they did not know when anything would be available because the therapist was out. Throughout our entire stay, no treatments were offered at all, something unacceptable for a luxury hotel.
The room itself fell short of expectations: it was dark, had stains on the couches, low ceilings, and unimpressive décor. For the price, the overall quality was far below what one would expect from a five-star property.
To make matters worse, no one assisted with my luggage down the stairs. A staff member commented, “I see you are able to do it yourself, so you won’t need any help,” and walked away. The remark was deeply disrespectful and left a lasting negative impression.
Overall, our stay did not meet the standards promised by a hotel of this category, and we left feeling extremely disappointed.

The rooms are old, with low ceilings, and you feel like you are trapped in a box. For the price, I encourage you to block this place and never book it. The place has two sides of the building with older part and renovated part. Both look really bad.
Breakfast is OK. Location is good.
Their posting of the room types on Booking is deceiving. They put a mixture of room pictures, with very new and some old pictures that are not exactly what you will get when you enter. For instance, they say the Deloux Double Room class. There are some rooms in the old part of the building and some renovated. I paid $1100 per night for this room based on the pictures of a nice renovated bathroom. But when we got there, they gave us an ugly motel-looking room in the oldest part of the building. I immediately told them that this is not what we booked but then they went to explain to me that you choose a room category and we have "different styles" of rooms. Some extremely shity and some renovated, and so sorry we have to put you in the shitty part because we have no other availability.
they did not offer anything to cover for their mistake. This is not a 5-star hotel.
Their staff were rude and unwelcoming.
By all means, I do not recommend this place to stay.
