Great location in the countryside. Beautiful buildings and cobblestones. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The gentleman on duty warmed up during my stay and spoke very good English, for which I was grateful.
The mattress was lumpy, the room dimly lit and there was no coffee, although tbf a machine wasn't mentioned in the booking details. From the parking lot to the room is cobbled which makes moving a roller case troublesome. I took mine all the way to the main building before learning I should double back to a separate building - I wasn't told about the shortcut over a bridge.

I needed a late check in and they wouldn’t accommodate this, nor would they refund my stay. I had to get another hotel and paid for this one as well. I’m incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer support.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience booking this apartments! The apartment itself was fantastic – clean, cozy, easy access and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. We highly recommend this apartaments for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay :)

Very quiet location for overnight stay after a long journey. Beautiful surroundings for walking the dog. Excellent breakfast and evening meal included in the price.
The only negative comment is, that due to the age of the hotel section of the castle, there is no lift. The bedroom was on the third floor and it was difficult to climb up and down the stairs with luggage and a pet. Not convenient for elderly or physically impaired customers.

Really beautiful location. Staff and breakfast were very nice. Rooms were a little dated but charming. We had a good time will recommend to friends.
The shower didn’t get very hot. Maybe cold showers are just part of the castle experience.

I did like the castle. It's beautiful, well managed, i really liked the food. One day it was a bufet for supper and I could eat a lot of delicious food and next day a normal I would say menu from which you can choose one dish - also a very good gulash. I can recommend for solo traveler as well as for a family.
In my opinion beds are too soft and fluffy, but I do prefer a hard ones.

Awful service. ! ! ! .I was aware that in this region of Germany people dont speak English but it was a surprise that staff didnt speak it, anyway, the issue was the dinner...when we arrived at hotel, we asked until what time the restaurant was open and more information about it..then when we came back for dinner they just replied ..sorry " no reservation."...and that could been a big issue on sunday in a small village in middle of nowhere... Luckily there was a local bbq in dowtown so we could have some dinner... And next day very simple breakfast

This was by far the worst hotel I stayed in Germany and the Management should be ashamed. When I arrived, I was informed they had no record of my booking. It took at least 3 members of staff to trace my booking. I was curtly told that my so-called superior room suite was 'over there' through a gap in the courtyard wall. I climbed the stairs to the top of the building to find the room was in the roofspace and was frankly awful. I returned to 'Reception' and very reluctantly was offered another much smaller room on the ground floor of another building through a different gap in the courtyard wall. That room was dirty with a a large open crack in the wall behind and above the bed. I was told that no other room was available and just had to accept it as being marginally better than the first room Nobody seemed in the slightest interest in making sure that everything was satisfactory for me. I'd arrived at lunchtime and was told that no food was available for me although the staff were lounging around eating their lunch! The evening meal was a buffet of the type I had last eaten in Communist Moscow - dreadful. Generally, the staff were unhelpful and gave the impression that the hotel was being run for their benefit instead of for the guests. I thought I had gone back in time to Communist East Germany! I stayed for only 1 night and was relieved to leave the next morning and go on my journey where other hotels were dramatically better. I consider that I should have my money refunded

Our first stay at a Jagdschloss was great and filled with curiosity. We arrived a bit earlier than we had planned, but had a lovely welcoming. The double room in the Kavalierhaus was tiny, clean and comfortable. Also the bathroom is small and o.k for a short stay. We opted for the Dinner Buffet that evening and were satisfied with the food selection on offer. Also the Breakfast Buffet was presented nicely and clean. Great coffee machine.

The staff at dinner was mediocre at best. Waiting, after being seated on the terrace for 1h30m before getting served the entree is just absurd.
