Very good central location, nice staff, good room with private bathroom, which was very clean. It seems that hostel has all the needed facilities but we where there for just one night.

It was a good location, close to the tram line from the Hbf and easily walkable to then downtown. I liked that they have private en-suite room options. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Even though I was in a private room, I could hear a lot of loud conversation coming from the room next door and the hallway late at night. You have to pay to store your bag in a locker. At least I knew it was secure.

Cleaned daily. Good WiFi. Great kitchen. Queer-friendly.
Women’s dorm shower and toilet were not attached to the room. Someone left the key I. The bathroom, and none of us could use the toilet in the morning until we found a staff member to open it.

Hostel itself is really good, centrally located, clean and spacious rooms, modest but decent breakfast, nice guests. Coffee machine in the kitchen was out of order but that's the smallest problem. For the hostel as a building all recommendations!
Reception desk staff is just horrible. Never seen such a rude and aggresive service in my life. They don't allow late check-out, although it's in Wombat's offer, but they have obviously their internal rules. And if you don't agree with them, they just throw you out of the hostel. Simple as that. So you better don't go there because you never know what can make them angry and aggresive. Luckily there are so many hostels in wonderful Leipzig and for sure with better personell, at least with professional one.

I've stayed at Wombat hostels before and found them great. This is the chains latest acquisition and seems to be still converting/rebranding. It was very, very quiet. I was there for three nights and I was the only one in the bar/cafe The cafe didn't serve food or snacks - maybe they will in future. The gust kitchen has just been refitted and the 'bar' is new. Dorm (4 bed ensuite) was clean and spacious but power points for phones were a problem and the bunk lights were at the foot end of the wooden bunks... The breakfasts were OK but expensive for the quantity available and the limited choice.

Amazing location close to old town and to the central station (hauptbahnhof). Great helpful staff, helped me with an issue I had in the city unrelated to the stay itself.
There wasn't a comfortable electricity next to the bed, you had to move some things or charge your phone in the bathroom, kinda weird.

I stayed here with my four and six year old children on our first visit to Leipzig and the zoo. My children and I were happy with the room and the friendly staff. It's very close to the main train station and the zoo (walking distance)! I recommend this hostel if you're traveling with children.
