Close to station. City attractions are walking distance or else by tram from the front door. Big range of local food options. The location is great and the hotel room was spacious.
We booked a double bed. That’s not what we got; instead, 2 single beds with hard and slightly saggy mattresses which kept moving apart if we attempted to “bridge” the wooden frames. We felt that this decision was made at checkin when Reception did not seem to approve of these two particular tired male travellers. No indication was given that we would not receive what we had very clearly booked! Other requests made at Reception (no daily room service was offered and accepted.. but happened daily. Promised access to boiled water needed for medications for one of us: (“We will provide you with that in your room”) did not eventuate. If you are a same sex couple you might take this into account in considering hotels. Not exactly the “unconditional positive regard” expected of a 4 star hotel.
