The Fürstenhof looks back on an extraordinary, traditional history. Built in the style of a classicist city palace, it was used as a home for the Löhr banking family when it was built in 1770. The Serpentine Hall, which is unique in the world and was still privately owned, was built in 1865. Serpentine is a metamorphic natural stone of igneous origin and around two million years old. The Fürstenhof has been operated as a hotel since 1890 and has developed into one of the world's most beautiful premium hotels. The Art Nouveau facade was restored in 2022. Based on the traditional history, a high-quality and family boutique hotel with over 100 rooms and suites, restaurants, breakfast area and sauna will be built in 2024. The exceptional location in the city center and the hotel's own underground car park with access to the hotel make the house your ideal starting point.

Excellent location - one stop on tram or ten minute walk from central train station (though cobblestone es make pushing a large suitcase less than easy) Room was quiet, clean. Mattress comfortable. Staff helpful.
Room was a bit dark and the lighting moody but inadequate. Cheesy music in the bar.

The building is beautiful and conveys more the impression of a big villa. It is also very close to the city center and the staff was very friendly.
The bed pillows used artificial lining that was not especially comfortable.

Located right next to Leipzig's city center and central train station; I was able to reach most sights, bars, restaurants, and monuments in less than 20 minutes. Friendly staff who appreciated my efforts to speak German. Peace and quiet
Breakfast options were basic. Not a lot of activity or life inside the hotel. The elevator could use some upkeep.
