Location is excellent. Room furnishings are of a high standard, as one would expect. The bathroom has a radio in it, if you like that sort of thing. Extremely quiet. Comfortable bed. Staff are friendly.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Wellness Spa/Pool was closed - this, of course, is no-one's fault, but it meant we couldn't get a full picture of the hotel. I was not aware, when booking, that these facilities (along with the piano bar and restaurant) would not be available. There were no tea/coffee making items in the room. The TV has a very limited range of channels.

Disappointing
The room was large, but smelly, the location is close to old city center
The bathroom smelled pretty bad, of stagnant water or mold, and this smell spilt over to the bedroom - we therefore slept with partially open window. There was only one small bottle of shower gel and shampoo each, for a room occupied by two people (my wife and myself). We complained in the morning and asked to bring more shower gel to the room, which they promised, but did not do. On the first evening, they had put a small chocolate on the bed, and a small white carpet at the side of the bed - but nothing for the second night, and no There was no coffee machine in the room - I would definitely expect that for a hotel labelled as 5 Star Superior. All in all, disappointing for the price tag and stated category of this hotel which claims to be the best in Leipzig.

Well situated for me inbetween the Zoo Kongresshalle and the citycenter
As in a lot of hotels the fitnessroom is hidden somewhere in the cellar.

Very quiet room, in a hotel very close to the center of Leipzig. Spacious bathroom. Excellent breakfast (not included) Not too expensive for 5*
One of our pillows was a bit lumpy, not what I expect in a 5* hotel. We didn't expect/want the towels to be changed daily, but they might have been folded... There was no seat in the bedroom, only a chair. When I choose a 5* hotel, I expect that when I feel the need to stay in the hotel for a few hours during the day, I can sit comfortably...
