The reception from Oliver was great! Rooms are large and comfortable. Very warm atmosphere.
The restaurant is expensive, even for Kühlungsborn. 24.50 Euro for breakfast is about 10-15 Euros more than other hotels in the village. Parking is 16 Euros a day compared to 10-15 at other hotels.

Location was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly.
The bathroom smelled of cigarettes (maybe it used to be a smoking room), the bed wasn’t so comfortable (the mattress pad was lumpy), and there was no hot water in the morning (must be a small water heater).

Cool, positive vibes; friendly and welcoming check in procedure; excellent location; clean and comfortable rooms and the convenience of the restaurant that had nice options and was open daily. Just be aware they sometimes have a DJ that plays on the weekend until 02:00 which was fine for us, but might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Having to pay for parking and the breakfast, which we felt was a little too expensive for what it was (bacon, sausages and the option of what coffee we'd like would have been welcomed).

Breakfast was great, tasty and nicely served. Staff was super helpful and extremely friendly. I am not super sure that a beach club hotel is the right theme for this hotel, but I guess the owners wanted something different. Nonetheless, the interior is lovingly decorated and they really make an effort to offer "something else" regarding cocktails and food options. Best point it probably the location - right at the beach. Just walk some meters and you're there.
