Location
Only 2 coffee machines for the entire hotel is RIDICULOUS!!!!! Buy 6 more coffee machines. Tomorrow. Also another guest tied their dog outside ALL NIGHT ... and it barked ALL NIGHT. We only got 2 hours sleep our second night. Horrible.

This was my third time, and there is definitely a noticeable decline, both in the rooms and in the overall quality of the hotel. This time, I was accommodated in what seemed to be an older part of the hotel, and this area is clearly in need of renovation.
However, the biggest difference is in the reception team. Very different from my first stays. At check-in, we were not given any information about the hotel, its schedules, or services, and they didn’t clearly explain where the rooms were located. We had very heavy luggage, and the access to the rooms involved many stairs, with no elevator available.
It’s clear that there have been changes in the hotel’s policy. During my previous stays, we were always welcomed at the reception by a very professional and friendly gentleman. This time, however, there was no one who stood out in a positive way or made us feel welcome.
The cleaning is not performed daily anymore.

Close to the park for a nice walk and very good breakfast.
The installations are quite old, not renovation in place, although very clean.
There are just two small pools and the spa section is quite small.
The hotel is not easy reachable with public transportation.

Nicely located in the heart of nature, many oportunities for walks, bike rides etc.
Superior rooms are spacios, lovely panoramic sauna.

Excellent location; great restaurant, including breakfast, appreciate dog friendly policy.
In less than 24 hrs of my stay I was asked 3 (!) times to fill in my address-?? - last time during the checkout (when the car was loaded and my daughter and dogs were in waiting) even though all my details, including credit card’s had been noted the day before at check in. Also, didn’t like the poor accessibility and a bit dusty corridors of the building where our room was located. Next time I’ll ask for a room in the main building, like during my previous stay

Wonderful
Perfect to combine the cultural and historical tour of Kassel with a bit of a spa. The spa is quite great, especially the panoramic sauna. My masseuse made me fall asleep, predictably.
Quite understandable, but you need to book your treatments well in advance. Parking is paid - again, understood. The price is lower than for outsiders though.

Spacious room; good breakfast; vegetarian and vegan options; good spot to go for walks; view is nice; clean; spa is cute; towels and robes without deposit
Really old fashioned; as a hotel guest you have to pay min. 24€ for parking (2nights); buffet is 45€/pers. and not worth it (excl. drinks); expensive drinks and a la carte dishes too, but a la carte is more worth it; too many people for that little, but cute Sauna area; outside area is nice, but wasn't prepared for us sauna guests; some of the staff couldn't even understand me talking in german; during check in at the reception no information about hotel, spa, dinner, prices, schedule, location etc.; felt a bit like they are all trainees

1. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms was forgotten in the booking process, but they gave us what was available, which was a huge suite with an amazing window and private entrance.
2. I left my wallet in the safe, and they found it, I came back to get it and they gave us the wallet in a sealed bag, you can tell their handling of items is very secure.
3. Breakfast was huge and they make the finest and thinnest omelettes that I didn't know were possible.
4. Shuttle bus right in front of hotel, so unbelievably convenient.
5. Family loved it and kept saying this was the best place out of our entire Germany roadtrip.

Location was excellent.
Hotel felt a little dated in places!
Restaurant staff were good. But had to wait 55 minutes for meals- waitress apologised twice and offered a drink or extra bread, but we were hungry for our meal! She said she did not know why the kitchen had not cooked our meal but the house was full and they were very busy!
Person next to us came in afterwards and got their meal in 15 mins!
Receptionist did offer free parking as some compensation. But the whole episode spoilt our evening and as we were only staying one night it was not good! Pity!
