This hotel is perfect: Reasonably-priced with a good breakfast buffet that goes to 1030 on weekends(!); easy to find central location one block from the main shopping street and a 20-minute walk to the Schloss and its Museum and Gartens and to the big ZKM art complex, cinema and city gallery; cheap parking options on site either directly on the street or in their hof; quiet residential neighborhood with various restaurant options nearby; lots of hot, hot water in the shower; and nice decor in the room and public areas.
There is nothing to object to at this hotel. It was our second stay and we will be back!

I used the late-night check-in kiosk, which worked well. The location is great, very close to the city center and to public transport. The breakfast was also very good.

We stayed in Karlsruhe because it was close to Bad Bagszebern and Durenbach where we were doing family research. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. Actually everyone that we came across in Karlsruhe was friendly and willing to translate when necessary. We will be back!
We were fortunate that the weather was nice. If it had been hot, we would have been uncomfortable as our room did not have air conditioning.
